Personal life

Williams is married to Mary Poindexter Williams and has two step-daughters. He serves as an officer of various organizations affiliated with Marshall University and attends Trinity Episcopal Church. [4]

Williams has been featured on the television adaptation of the podcast My Brother, My Brother and Me . In the show, Williams is consulted by Justin McElroy, Travis McElroy, and Griffin McElroy regularly, including discussions of whether the three can be named honorary mayors or host a tarantula-themed parade in downtown Huntington. [28]

Huntington is a city in Cabell and Wayne counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. The seat of Cabell County, the city is located at the confluence of the Ohio and Guyandotte rivers in the state's southwestern region. Evan Hollin Jenkins is an American politician and judge. He served as a justice of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, joining the Court in 2018 and serving as chief justice in 2021. He resigned from the court on February 4, 2022. He served as a U.S. Representative from West Virginia from 2015 to 2018. He is a Republican, having switched his party affiliation from Democratic in 2013.

Patrick James Morrisey is an American politician and attorney who is currently serving as the 37th governor of West Virginia since 2025. He has previously served as the 34th attorney general of West Virginia from 2013 to 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he was elected to the position in 2012, becoming the first Republican to serve in the role since 1933. Running for the United States Senate in 2018, Morrisey won the Republican Party nomination, but was narrowly defeated by incumbent Democratic Senator Joe Manchin in the November general election.

Douglas Vernon Reynolds is an American politician, attorney, and businessman who was formerly a Democratic member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 17 from January 12, 2013, to January 2017. Reynolds served consecutively from January 2007 until January 2013 in the District 16 seat. In 2016, Reynolds decided against running for his seat again, instead opting to run for Attorney General of West Virginia. Reynolds is also the president of Energy Services of America, a pipeline construction company, and HD Media, the publisher of the Herald-Dispatch and five other newspapers throughout West Virginia.

He inherited a coal mining business from his father that included 94 companies, including the Greenbrier, a luxury resort and National Historic Landmark in White Sulphur Springs.
