Steven Kenneth Fairweather (born December 29, 1977) is a Canadian musician, radio show host and comic book writer. He is the bassist of the Canadian punk rock band Gob and founder of the Internet radio station, Stranger Radio.
Fairweather joined the Gothic Rock band Waiting for God, along with member Michael Balch of the industrial metal band Ministry affiliation
Fairweather joined Revelation Records' emo/post-hardcore band By a Thread. [1] and appeared on demo versions of songs by sub pops' punk rock band the Black Halos. [2]
June 2008 Fairweather joined the certified Gold album selling and [3] juno nominated Canadian punk rock band Gob [4]
JAN 2011 Fairweather released his debut solo album you-and-yours [5]
APR 2011 emo/post-hardcore band By a Thread [6] released their long-awaited sophomore album on Revelation Records. The label is known for releases by bands such as Youth of Today, Sick of It All, Quicksand, and Gorilla Biscuits.
MAY 2013 On the science fiction Showcase television series Continuum the main character triggers a hidden psychiatric protocol program called "Mr. Fairweather" [7] played by Alessandro Juliani named after Fairweather. [8]
On May 27, 2014, Gob announced that Apt. 13 will be released on August 26 through New Damage Records. [9]
In August 2014 Fairweather released his second solo album. "Visitors" [10] This time working with Gob bandmate, and Producer Thomas Thacker. Who also performed backup vocals on the track "Because in". As well as guest vocals by Pink Mountaintops, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy's Lie Down in the Light and the Cave Singers vocalist Ashley Webber. Known as Ashley Shadow in her solo career [11] Who met when they both worked for organizations that meet the basic living requirements of the chronically poor, drug addicted and mentally ill in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside neighborhood, such as Insite, the first legal supervised drug injection site in North America
In June 2015 Fairweather appeared in a commercial for Lexus [12] Winning the CSC award in 2016 [13]
Feb 2017, Fairweather was brought on to host a radio show "The Church of Steventology" [14] for 8-Ball Community a New York City-based artist collective. Who was Voted listeners’ Choice Best Online Radio Station in North America - Mixcloud Online Radio Awards 2018. [15] And was featured in Village Voice and Time Out
In February 2018 Fairweather joined Daphne Guinness for The Blonds New York Fashion Week show. [16] Performing the song "Riot", recorded by David Bowie producer Tony Visconti [17] [ circular reference ]
In April 2018 Fairweather founded Stranger Radio, an online radio station that he curates.
Nov 2019 Fairweather joined Gob bandmates Theo Goutzinakis & Gabe Mantle for the project "Theo and the Thugs" Western Canadian tour. [18]
In July 2020 Fairweather published The Colebrook Library – selected poems 1995–2000. [19] Containing writings from his teenaged years exploring isolation, loss, romantic relationships, and addiction.
Jan 2021 Fairweather launched his YouTube channel, [20] showcasing the comedic rants from his online radio show "The Church of Steventology" on Stranger Radio.
Sept 2021 Fairweather released "The Volume" on Soundcloud. [21] A musical collective that is heavily 90's trip-hop influenced. A project that Fairweather composes the music and produces, featuring UK vocalists including the rapper Dxsh and Betty Adewole, an English model, rapper, and actress. Known for her portrayal of an Amazonian in Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984, [22] and her London based hip hop trio "Cut With" [23]

Feb 2023 Fairweather released book one of his comic book series he created and wrote, "CHAAYA AND THE RED HAND," which tells the revenge story of a young woman in India. [24]

Sum 41 is a Canadian rock band from Ajax, Ontario. The band was formed in 1996 and currently consists of Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason McCaslin, Tom Thacker, and Frank Zummo.
Nils Hilmer Lofgren is an American rock musician, recording artist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Along with his work as a solo artist, he has been a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band since 1984, a member of Crazy Horse, and founder/frontman of the band Grin. Lofgren was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the E Street Band in 2014.

He also played bass in the punk band Propagandhi during the mid-1990s. Today, Samson is making music under his own name, John K. Samson. His latest solo album, Winter Wheat, was released in 2016.
Steven John Wilson is an English musician. He is the founder, guitarist, lead vocalist and songwriter of the rock band Porcupine Tree, as well as being a member of several other bands, including Blackfield, Storm Corrosion and No-Man. He is also a solo artist, having released seven solo albums since his solo debut Insurgentes in 2008. In a career spanning more than 30 years, Wilson has made music prolifically and earned critical acclaim. His honours include six nominations for Grammy Awards: twice with Porcupine Tree, once with his collaborative band Storm Corrosion and three times as a solo artist. John Baine, better known by his stage name Attila the Stockbroker, is an English punk poet, multi instrumentalist musician and songwriter. He performs solo and as the leader of the band Barnstormer 1649, who combine early music and punk. He has performed over 3,800 concerts, published eight books of poems, an autobiography and in 2021 his Collected Works spanning 40 years. He has released over forty recordings.
Gob is a Canadian punk rock band from Langley, British Columbia, formed in 1993. The band consists of Tom Thacker, Theo Goutzinakis, Gabe Mantle and Steven Fairweather. They were nominated for a Juno Award for best new group in 2000, and received another Juno nomination for best video in 2002. Gob's most successful album is World According to Gob. Their best-selling songs to date are "I Hear You Calling", "Soda", and "Banshee Song". They have been featured in movies, TV shows, and many sporting video games such as NHL 2002, NHL 2003, NHL 2004 and Madden NFL 2004 with songs such as "Oh! Anthony Joseph Genaro is an American musician, best known as the guitarist and co-lead vocalist for the punk rock group The Dead Milkmen. Residing in Philadelphia, Genaro has performed with a number of punk and indie rock groups, most recently including The Low Budgets, and is also a solo artist.

Foot In Mouth Disease is the fourth studio album by Canadian punk rock band Gob, released on April 1, 2003 in Canada by Nettwerk, internationally by Arista Records, and in Japan by BMG. It is the band’s final album with longtime bassist Craig Wood, as he left the band in 2004. Four singles were released from the album: "Give Up the Grudge", "Oh! Ellin", "Ming Tran", and "This Evil World".
The World According To Gob is the third studio album by Canadian punk rock band Gob, and was released in Canada on October 10, 2000. It includes the singles "I Hear You Calling", "For The Moment", "No Regrets" and radio only single "That's The Way". The album was certified Gold in Canada on May 2, 2002. "I Hear You Calling" was re-recorded for the band's next album Foot in Mouth Disease which was released three years later.
How Far Shallow Takes You is the second full-length studio album by Canadian punk rock band Gob, and was released on November 24, 1998, on Fearless Records. The album was re-released on December 8, 1998, on Landspeed Records due to a conflict between the band and Fearless Records. The album was again re-released by Nettwerk Management; both this version and the Landspeed version featured a 17th track, "All We Are". The American release also featured a cover of "Paint It, Black" by the Rolling Stones, and an alternate recording of "What to Do". "What to Do" and "Beauville" were released as singles. What to Do was featured in the 2000 DCOM film Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire. It is the first album to feature bassist Craig Wood and drummer Gabe Mantle. The album was described by AllMusic as containing "generally well-executed melodic punk rock in the style common in the 1990s." By December 1999, the album had sold 20,000 copies in Canada.
Marine Girls were an English post-punk group from Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England. The group was formed in 1980, by two sixth form schoolfriends; Tracey Thorn and Gina Hartman. Originally, Thorn just played guitar and Hartman was the lead vocalist and percussionist. Thorn overcame her shyness and started singing too by the time they started making records. They were later joined by Jane Fox on bass and her younger sister, Alice, on joint vocals and percussion.
Thomas William Arnold Thacker, nicknamed Brown Tom, is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and producer. He is the lead guitarist, lead singer and co-founder of the punk rock group Gob, and guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist for Sum 41. Thacker formed Gob with Theo Goutzinakis in 1993. Following Dave Baksh's departure from Sum 41 on May 11, 2006, Thacker was recruited as their touring guitarist, and then became an official member in 2009. He has remained with Sum 41 ever since, even after Baksh rejoined the band in 2015, contributing to four studio releases.
Muertos Vivos is Gob's fifth studio album. It was released on October 30, 2007 in Canada. It is the only album featuring bassist Tyson Maiko, who left the band in 2008.
Another Joe is a Canadian punk rock band formed in Richmond, British Columbia, in 1995, when founding members Jon Glen and John Simmonds (drums) recruited Alison Toews (bass). Apt. 13 is the sixth studio album by Canadian rock band Gob, released on August 26, 2014, by New Damage Records. On May 27, 2014, the song "Cold" was available to stream along with information on the album and was also released as the lead single from the album. "Radio Hell" was released as the album's second single. This is the first Gob album to not feature any lead vocals from guitarist Theo Goutzinakis, as well as their first with new bassist Steven Fairweather.
