Steven Kehoe, Jr. [1] (born October 20, 1987 [2] ), is an American former volleyball player who played professionally in Finland and Belgium.

Early life and education

Kehoe was born on October 20, 1987. [2] His father played volleyball for the Ball State Cardinals and his mother played volleyball for the Western Michigan Broncos; both later coached. [3]

Kehoe played volleyball at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, winning a state championship in 2006. At Ohio State University, he won the 2011 NCAA men's volleyball tournament [4] and the 2011 Big Ten Medal of Honor. [5] He was the first volleyball player to receive the school's Male Athlete of the Year award. [2]

Athletic career

Kehoe joined the Finnish team Tampereen Isku-Volley in 2011 [2] before playing half a season for the Belgian team VBC Waremme in 2013. [6] [3] He then returned to Finland, playing for the Finland Volleyball League's Kokkolan Tiikerit in the 2014 [7] [8] and 2015 seasons. [9]

Later career

After retiring from professional volleyball, Kehoe began a real estate company in Chicago. [5]

Michael Allen Doss is an American former football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for six seasons. He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes, earning consensus All-American honors thrice and winning the 2002 national championship. He was selected in the second round of the 2003 NFL draft by the Indianapolis Colts, with whom he played four seasons with, including during the team's 2006 Super Bowl season. Doss then spent one season with the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals each before retiring.

Robert Carl Hoying is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was selected in the third round of the 1996 NFL draft. He is the grandson of baseball player Wally Post, who played 15 years in the Major Leagues. Post was an outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds 1961 National League pennant winning team.

Earl Everett is a former American football linebacker. He was originally signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Florida. He also played professionally in Finland for the Turku Trojans.

Their head coach is Thad Matta, in his 8th season with the Buckeyes. The team plays its home games at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and is a member of the Big Ten Conference. The team clinched a share of the Big Ten regular season championship for the third year in the row with a 13–5 conference record, sharing it with Michigan and Michigan State. In the postseason, the team was invited to the 2012 Big Ten Conference men's basketball tournament, where they beat Purdue and Michigan before losing to Michigan State in the championship, and they also were invited to the 2012 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, where they beat Loyola, Gonzaga, Cincinnati, and an upset of Syracuse before losing to Kansas in the Final Four to finish the season with 31–8 in overall record.

The 2014 Ohio State Buckeyes football team represented Ohio State University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It was the Buckeyes' 125th overall, the 102nd as a member of the Big Ten Conference, and first season as a member of the newly reorganized Eastern Division. The team was led by Urban Meyer, in his third year as head coach, and played their home games at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. They finished the season with 14 wins and 1 loss, as Big Ten champions and as national champions after they defeated Oregon in the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Winning 14 games in a season tied the school record set by the Buckeyes' previous national champion team.

The Ohio State Buckeyes men's volleyball is one of the 18 men's varsity teams at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The team is coached by Kevin Burch, who is in his first season as head coach. The Buckeyes are a charter member of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA), which they have been competing in since their founding in 1968. The team has won 27 regular season MIVA titles, 17 tournament titles and three NCAA men's volleyball tournament titles. They currently host their home matches at the Covelli Center on campus.

Megan Eileen Courtney-Lush is an American indoor professional volleyball player for the Columbus Fury of the Pro Volleyball Federation and the United States women's national volleyball team. Courtney played outside hitter for the Penn State women's volleyball team, and won back to back national championships in 2013 and 2014. With the USA national team, she played at the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix. She was named the best libero at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Courtney was also selected as an alternate to the 2020 USA Olympic Team but did not travel to Tokyo.
