The Czech Republic, also known as Czechia, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Historically known as Bohemia, it is bordered by Austria to the south, Germany to the west, Poland to the northeast, and Slovakia to the southeast. The Czech Republic has a hilly landscape that covers an area of 78,871 square kilometers (30,452 sq mi) with a mostly temperate continental and oceanic climate. Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN) is a Chilean public service broadcaster. It was founded by order of President Eduardo Frei Montalva and it was launched nationwide on 18 September 1969. Since then, the company has been reorganized on several occasions and its operations areas have increased over the years, becoming one of the leading television broadcasters in Chile and South America. Eugene Merril Deitch was an American illustrator, animator, comics artist, and film director who was based in Prague from the 1960s until his death in 2020. Deitch was known for creating animated cartoons such as Munro, Tom Terrific, and Nudnik, as well as his work on the Popeye and Tom and Jerry series.

Pat & Mat is a Czechoslovak slapstick stop-motion animated series created by Lubomír Beneš and Vladimír Jiránek. The characters first appeared in the theatrically released short Kuťáci (Tinkers) in 1976, while the first made-for-TV episode Tapety (Wallpaper) was produced for ČST Bratislava three years later. The main characters of the series are two handymen, Pat and Mat, who are inventive, but extremely clumsy. As of 2021, 129 episodes of the show have been released, and it has been syndicated in a large number of countries due to its lack of dialogue.
Ingrid Timková is a Slovak actress. She is most notable for appearing in the first Czech-Slovak film produced after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, Anjel Milosrdenstva, directed by Miloslav Luther. The role of Anežka brought Timková the Magnolia Award at the 5th Shanghai TV Festival in 1994 as Best Actress in a Television Film.
The Musketeers is a British period action-drama program based on the characters from Alexandre Dumas's 1844 novel The Three Musketeers and co-produced by BBC America and BBC Worldwide. The series follows the musketeers Athos, Aramis, and Porthos as they serve King Louis XIII and citizens of 17th-century Paris. The first episode was shown on BBC One on 19 January 2014. It stars Tom Burke as Athos, Santiago Cabrera as Aramis, Howard Charles as Porthos, Luke Pasqualino as D'Artagnan, Tamla Kari as Constance Bonacieux, Maimie McCoy as Milady de Winter, Ryan Gage as Louis XIII and Alexandra Dowling as Queen Anne. Knightfall is a historical fiction drama television series created by Don Handfield and Richard Rayner for the History channel. Filmed in the Czech Republic and Croatia, it premiered on December 6, 2017, in the United States. On August 13, 2018, History renewed the series for a second season, which premiered on March 25, 2019. In May 2020, it was announced that the series had been cancelled.
Jaroslav Beck is a Czech composer and entrepreneur, most known as a co-creator of the successful VR game Beat Saber. Previously, Beck produced music for Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch short movies, an award-winning introduction trailer StarCraft: Legacy of the Void, and various trailers for Battlefield by EA Games.

Rodinná pouta is a Czech soap opera that was produced and broadcast by Prima and aired from 2004 to 2006. In the Czech Rodinná pouta means 'family ties'. The series was the first original series broadcast nationwide in the Czech Republic on a commercial television station; until that time all original Czech series had been broadcast by state broadcaster Česká televize, and earlier its predecessor, Czechoslovak Television. The show, which produced 240 episodes over the first two seasons, attracted over a million viewers, becoming Prima's most-watched programme.
The Czech Republic participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Friend of a Friend" written by Jan Steinsdoerfer, Mikołaj Trybulec and Albert Černý. The song was performed by the band Lake Malawi. The Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) organised the national final Eurovision Song CZ 2019 in order to select the Czech entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel. Eight entries competed in the national final and "Friend of a Friend" performed by Lake Malawi was announced as the winner on 28 January 2019 following the combination of votes from an eleven-member international jury panel and a public vote.

Voyo is a European paid video on demand service launched in 2011 as a free archive of programs produced by every national TV channel owned by CME and a platform for live broadcasting of original work and sports broadcasts. It gradually transformed into a paid service modeled after the American Netflix. The range of available programs is regularly changed. According to the operator, there are more than 2,000 movies and series. The vast majority of the listed titles are either Bulgarian, Czech, Romanian, Slovak, Slovene or fully or partially localized.
