Strouds is an unincorporated community in Natrona County, in the U.S. state of Wyoming. [1]

History

The settlement was laid out by the Pioneer Town Site Company in 1888, and was named for Joshua Stroud, a homesteader who lived there prior to the railway being built. [2] [3] A station of the Chicago and North Western Railway was located in Strouds. [4]

Fort Fetterman was a wooden fort constructed in 1867 by the United States Army on the Great Plains frontier in Dakota Territory, approximately 11 miles northwest of present-day Douglas, Wyoming.
