Production

Raghava Lawrence worked on Style after completing work on Arputham (2002), and appeared in two Tamil films in quick succession. [3] Arul, who had earlier written the script for Aranmanai Kaavalan (1994), was announced as the film's director, while Padmamagan wrote the dialogues for the film. The film was shot at Pollachi, Nellaiyampatti at Kerala, SRM College, Hindustan College and at AVM and Film City. [4]

Release

The film had a low-key release during December 2002. The director of the film, Sibi Chakravarthy, later attempted to make a film with Dhanush and debutant Mamta Zaveri titled Raghava, but financial troubles stopped the production. [6]

Raghava Lawrence is an Indian actor, choreographer, film director, composer, playback singer, lyricist, film producer and philanthropist known for his works primarily in Tamil cinema. After making his debut as a dance choreographer in 1993, he began looking for acting opportunities. He began his career as an actor in 1998, in a Telugu film. He adopted the name "Raghava" in 2001, and worked for many prominent actors and directors in Tamil cinema throughout his career. He got his breakthrough with Telugu film Style and then Muni. Lawrence is also known for his intricate hip-hop and westernised dance moves and has won four Filmfare Awards, three Nandi Awards and two Tamil Nadu State Film Award for best choreography.

Muni (transl. Sage) is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language political thriller film directed by Raghava Lawrence and produced by Gemini Productions. The film stars Rajkiran in the titular role, alongside Raghava, Vedhika, Vinu Chakravarthy, Kovai Sarala, Kadhal Dhandapani, Rahul Dev, Naasar, Delhi Ganesh, Meera Krishnan and Scissor Manohar. It is the first installment in the Muni film series, and a spiritual sequel, Kanchana, was released in 2011. The film follows Ganesh, a young man with phasmophobia, who gets possessed by Muniyandi "Muni" who tries to kill Dhandapani after he tricked and killed him.

Sundara Travels is a 2002 Tamil-language comedy film directed by Asokan. The film stars Murali, Radha, and Vadivelu. Vasu, Sabitha Anand, and Vinu Chakravarthy appear in supporting roles. Written by Govind Padman and Mahesh Mithra, it is a remake of their Malayalam film Ee Parakkum Thalika (2001). The music was composed by Bharani, with editing done by P. C. Mohanan. Padikkadavan (transl. Illiterate) is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Suraj and produced by B. Venkatarama Reddy. It stars Dhanush and Tamannaah Bhatia alongside an ensemble supporting cast including Vivek, Atul Kulkarni, Suman, and Sayaji Shinde. The music was composed by Mani Sharma with cinematography by A. Venkatesh and editing by Manoj. Filming began in March 2008, and the film released on 14 January 2009 during Pongal and received a huge positive response. The film was successful, grossing 15 crore in Tamil Nadu and established Dhanush as one of the top five bankable heroes of Tamil cinema after then.

She is known for her roles and she has also featured in television serials. She played the main lead in Azhagi, a television serial.
