Success Eduan (born 27 September 2004) is a British sprinter. She won the 2023 British Indoor Athletics Championships over 200 metres title. [1]

Early life

From Blackley, Manchester, she attended St Matthew's Roman Catholic High School in Moston, Manchester, where she was head girl. Her athletic talent was spotted early at the school whilst running cross-country. [2] She later attended Loreto College, Manchester. [3]

Career

She won a gold and a bronze at the European Athletics U20 Championships in Tallinn, Estonia in July 2021. She wen bronze in the 200m and gold after anchoring the victorious women’s 4x100m relay. [4] [5]

In 2022, she won the national U20 title over 200 metres, and was selected to represent Britain at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships. [6] [7]

In February 2023, she won the 2023 British Indoor Athletics Championships in Birmingham over 200 metres with a time of 23.49 seconds. [8] [9] In August 2023, she won bronze at the 2023 European Athletics U20 Championships in Jerusalem in the 200 metres. [10] She was then part of a 4x100m relay team that won silver at the championships. [11]

In May 2024, she finished runner-up to Joy Eze at the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) 100 metres title in a time of 11.52 seconds, running for Salford University. [12]

He is the current Irish U20 record holder in the 400 metres, with a time of 46.54, set on 22 July 2017 at the European U20 Championships, where he finished 6th in the final. His personal best of 45.26 seconds sits joint-2nd on the Irish all-time list and he is the current and 5-time National 400m champion.
