Dokken is an American heavy metal band formed in 1979. It split up in 1989 and reformed four years later. The band had many charting singles like and have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. The live album Beast from the East was nominated for the inaugural Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 1989.
George Lynch is an American hard rock guitarist and songwriter. Lynch is best known for his work with heavy metal band Dokken and his post-Dokken solo band, Lynch Mob. Lynch is considered to be one of the most influential and famous 1980s metal guitarists. He is known for his unique playing style and sound. He is ranked No. 68 on "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" by Guitar World magazine and is also ranked No. 10 on "Top 10 Metal Guitarists of All Time" by Gibson.

He is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, cello, keyboards, piano and mellotron. Pilson played fictional heavy metal bassist Jörgen in the 2001 film Rock Star, and voiced Johnny Cage in the 2011 video game Mortal Kombat.

Wicked Sensation is the debut album by American Rock band Lynch Mob. This was George Lynch's first release since leaving Dokken. Singer-songwriter Oni Logan provided vocals, contributed to the lyrics and composition and also played harmonica. Also joining George was former Dokken drummer Mick Brown. The album had two successful singles, with "River Of Love" climbing to the No. 19 spot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart as well as "Wicked Sensation" reaching No. 31 on that chart.

Lynch Mob is the second album by American hard rock band Lynch Mob, and the first album to feature vocalist Robert Mason following the departure of Oni Logan. Logan was fired shortly after touring in support of the band's first album due to his life style that negatively impacted his ability to perform. There were also rumors that he had quit the band while touring in support of Queensrÿche, because he felt intimidated opening up for singer Geoff Tate. In a 1992 interview with Headbangers Ball, Lynch talked highly of Mason and stating, "Mason tracked us down, saying he had to be the singer for the band. He knew he was right for the group. He flew himself out. He was very much the opposite of the last singer. He's very dedicated, has a lot of confidence in his abilities and can definitely take control of an audience".
Syzygy is a three-song EP by the American rock band Lynch Mob released in 1998 just after George Lynch left Dokken for another time; Mick Brown decided to stay with Dokken but did perform on the EP. Syzygy saw the return of original Lynch Mob vocalist Oni Logan, and the departure of Robert Mason. The band broke up again after a single writing session, which resulted in Syzygy.
