Government Jubilee High school, Sunamganj, is a public secondary school in Sunamganj District, Bangladesh. It was established in 1887 by Prassana –Kumar Dey, son of Pran Krishna Nath Roy Choudhury, Zamindar of Kajalshah and the first person to graduate from Presidency College Calcutta from Sylhet. Pran Krishna Nath Roy Choudhury donated land in the early 18th century for the Jugaltila Akhara in memory of his father the Zamindar of Gouripur Jugal Kishore Roy Choudhary which today houses the ISKON Temple. Who was the only son of Nawab Siraj ud Doula, adopted son by Mayman Sing Zamindar.

Sunamganj is a town in the Sylhet Division of northeastern Bangladesh. It is the administrative headquarters and largest town of Sunamganj District. It is located on the banks of the Surma River, approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) west-northwest of Sylhet, the divisional headquarters.

Haydarpur or Haydor Pur is a village in northeastern Bangladesh in Bhatgaon Union of Chhatak Upazila, in Sunamganj District, within the division of Sylhet Division. Agriculture is the primary occupation of the village.

Chhatak Cement Factory also known as Chhatak Cement Company Limited or simply Chhatak Cement is the first and oldest cement factory in Bangladesh, that is located on the bank of Surma River in Chhatak Upazila of Sylhet. It was established in 1941 as Assam Bengal Cement Company. The annual production capacity is 2 lakh 3 thousand metric tons. Its raw material, limestone is imported from Meghalaya, India and stone is also collected from Takerghat's own stone quarry. Chhatak Cement is exported to Assam.

Sunetra Gas Field is a natural gas field located in Sunamganj-Netrokona, Bangladesh. It is controlled by Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX).
