Khulna Division is the second largest of the eight divisions of Bangladesh. It has an area of 22,285 km2 (8,604 sq mi) and a population of 17,416,645 at the 2022 Bangladesh census. Its headquarters and largest city is Khulna city in Khulna District.

Jessore is the capital of the district. Jessore is the home of the ancestors of the great Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore. Jashore was the first independent district of Bangladesh in 1971.
Gopalganj District is a district in the Dhaka Division of Bangladesh. The district has 1,172,415 inhabitants and its surface area is 1,490 km2. The main town of the district is also called Gopalganj. It is the bank of the Madhumati river and located at 23°00’47.67" N 89°49’21.41". It is bounded by Faridpur district on the North, Pirojpur and Bagerhat district on the south, and Barisal district on the east and Narail district on the West. This district is also known as "GP" to the youth. Gopalganj is subdivided into five sub-districts (upazila/thana).
Satkhira District is a district in southwestern Bangladesh and is part of Khulna Division. It lies along the border with West Bengal, India. It is on the bank of the Arpangachhia River. The largest city and headquarter of this district is Satkhira.
Khulna District is a district of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission is a scientific research organization of Bangladesh. Its main objective is to promote the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes. It was established on 27 February 1973, after the independence of Bangladesh, the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission no longer having jurisdiction. Ashoke Kumar Paul is the chairman of the Commission.

Satkhira Medical College (SMC) is a public medical school in Bangladesh, established in 2011. It is located in the south-western city of Satkhira in Khulna Division.
Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna (NUBTK) is a private university in Bangladesh. The university is affiliated to the University Grants Commission. It is the first specialized private university established in the south-west of Bangladesh.
West Zone is a railway zone operated by Bangladesh Railway. 2,800 km of railway lines in Bangladesh are operated through four divisions in two Zones, West Zone being one of the two Zone. This Zone consists of Rangpur Division, Rajshahi Division, Khulna Division and of Dhaka Division of Bangladesh. The head office of West Zone is located in Rajshahi.
The Madhumati Bridge, also called the Kalna Bridge, is a 690-metre-long, 6-lane bridge across the Madhumati River. The bridge connects the districts of Narail, Khulna, Magura, Satkhira, Chuadanga, Jashore, Jhenaidah, Gopalganj and a few others in the southwest and northwest. The Bridge Carries national highway N806. And it is a part of the Asian Highway Project.
Satkhira University of Science and Technology, commonly known and abbreviated as SatSTU, is a public university in Satkhira. It is 2nd Science technology university in Khulna division. It was established by Bangladesh National Parliament through Satkhira University of Science And Technology act 2023.
