Sunil Kumar Kohli (S. K. Kohli) (born 17 August 1958),a senior Bureaucrat of Indian Civil Services,was the Financial Advisor to Defence Services (FADS). [1] S.K Kohli was the 46th [2] Controller General of Defence Accounts CGDA,Ministry of Defence,of the Republic of India. [3] [4] He is from 1981 batch IDAS (Indian Defence Accounts Department )cadre. He was Addl CGDA,and Principal controller at Delhi and before that he served as Joint Secretary in Ministry of Water Resources and is a graduate from D.A.V College Amristar,Guru Nanak University and holds an LL.B. Degree from University of Punjab. He holds a Degree from National Defence College,New Delhi on Defence Strategic Studies. [5] He,as FADS,was mandated to advise the Ministry of Defence regarding both Capital and Revenue expenditures and Defence Budget of Govt. of India.He is a maverick Defence finance analyst. He superannuated on 31 August 2018,succeeded by Smt.Madhulika P. Sukul,IDAS(1982).[ citation needed ]

Western Command is a Command-level formation of the Indian Army. It was formed in 1920. It was disbanded following its demotion to an independent district and eventual merge with Northern Command to form the North-western Army. It was re-raised in 1947 following the transfer of Northern Command HQ to Pakistan. Until 1972,it was responsible for India's border with Pakistan in the North and West and the Chinese border in the North. The Command HQ is in Chandimandir,Haryana,about 5 km east of Chandigarh.
Admiral Adhar Kumar Chatterji was an Admiral in the Indian Navy. He served as the 6th Chief of the Naval Staff,from 4 March 1966,until 28 February 1970. He was the first Indian officer of the navy to hold the rank of full Admiral. He is credited with the transformation of the Indian Navy. He made sweeping changes and restructured the navy,creating the Western and Eastern Naval Commands and the Western Fleet. Under him,the Indian Navy also entered the submarine age,with the commissioning of INS Kalvari (S23) in 1967.
Admiral Sourendra Nath Kohli,PVSM was an Indian Navy admiral who served as the 8th Chief of the Naval Staff from 1 March 1973 until 29 February 1976. Kohli served as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-IN-C) of the Western Naval Command during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 and successfully led Indian Navy's Western Fleet in Operation Trident and Operation Python against the Pakistan Navy fleet in Karachi. His prior commands include those as the commanding officer of INS Mysore (C60) and INS Rana (D115).

Neihsial was appointed as the 47th Controller General of Defence Accounts CGDA,Ministry of Defence,of the Republic of India. He was from 1981 the batch IDAS cadre. He served as Addl CGDA before his promotion to CGDA. He was earlier working as Principal controller Jammu and Principal Financial Advisor to Indian Navy.After his superannuation as CGDA on 28-02-2017,he is appointed as administrative member of the Central Administrative Tribunal in 2018. Since 30 July 2018 he has been working as an administrative member of the Central Administrative Tribunal Bench in Guwahati,Assam.
General Manoj Mukund Naravane is a retired Indian Army General who served as the 27th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS),as well as the temporary Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee from 15 December 2021 until his superannuation on 30 April 2022. He took over as COAS from General Bipin Rawat on 31 December 2019 after the latter completed his term. Prior to his appointment as the COAS,the general served as the 40th Vice Chief of Army Staff (VCOAS) of the Indian Army,General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Eastern Command and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Army Training Command.
The Integrated Defence Staff (IDS) is an organisation responsible for fostering coordination and enabling prioritisation across the different branches of the Indian Armed Forces. It is composed of representatives from the Indian Army,Indian Navy,Indian Air Force,Ministry of External Affairs,Defence Research and Development Organisation,Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Finance. The IDS is headed by Chief of Integrated Defence Staff along with Deputy Chiefs of Integrated Defence Staff. On December 24,2019,the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) established the post of Chief of Defence Staff,a four-star general,a tri-service Chief,that shall lead the defence forces as well as play the role of head of the Department of Military Affairs.
