Sunny Sohal (born 10 November 1987) is an Indian-born American former cricketer from Mohali,Punjab,India. [1] A right-handed batsman and occasional leg spin bowler,Sohal made his first-class debut for Punjab against Hyderabad at Mohali in December 2005. He represented the India Under 19 side and,although less prolific in limited overs cricket,also played in the IPL for Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab. [1]
In January 2018,he was named in the United States squad for the 2017–18 Regional Super50 tournament in the West Indies. [2] In August 2018,he was named in the United States' squad for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Americas Qualifier tournament in Morrisville,North Carolina. [3] In October 2018,he was named in the United States' squads for the 2018–19 Regional Super50 tournament in the West Indies and for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Three tournament in Oman. [4] [5] However,he was ruled out of the latter due to injury. [6]
In June 2019,he was selected to play for the Winnipeg Hawks franchise team in the 2019 Global T20 Canada tournament. [7]
He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for the United States against Bermuda on 22 August 2019. [8]
In July 2020,he was named in the St Kitts &Nevis Patriots squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League. [9] [10] In June 2021,he was selected to take part in the Minor League Cricket tournament in the United States following the players' draft. [11]
Sunil Philip Narine is a Trinidadian cricket player who played internationally for the West Indies. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in December 2011 and Test match debut in June 2012. Primarily an off-spin bowler,he is also a left-handed batsman. Narine was a part of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup,where he took the winning wicket of Lasith Malinga in the final. In November 2023,he announced his retirement from international cricket.
Nitish Roenik Kumar is a Canadian-American cricketer who was the former captain of the Canada national cricket team. Kumar was appointed as the national men's team captain in October 2016 at the age of 22. He bats right-handed and bowls right-arm off spin.
