Sunwich Port is a coastal village situated along the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and north of the Domba River. The quiet and small coastal village forms part of the greater area of Port Shepstone. [2]

Sunwich Port is situated on the R102 regional route, approximately halfway between Port Shepstone (11 km) to the south-west and Hibberdene (13 km) to the north-east. It is neighboured by Melville to the north and Anerley to the south.

It is a relatively clean and quiet residential resort; it has become an attractive destination for people aiming to get away from city life. Most of the village is filled with complexes, flats, bed and breakfasts and suburban-style houses. Twenty years ago the whole of Umtentweni consisted of a lot of greenery and wildlife. All this has changed due to the growing popularity of this small resort and the constant clearing for new housing.
