Cadarrius Pride (born March 15, 2002), better known as Superstar Pride, is an American rapper and songwriter. His single "Painting Pictures" reached number 25 on the US Billboard Hot 100. [1] [2] [3] In 2023, he was arrested for murder.

Biography

Pride was born on March 15, 2002 in Batesville, Mississippi. He was raised in Sardis, Mississippi, and attended North Panola High School. He began rapping while he was in college. He later rose to stardom after he released his hit single "Painting Pictures", which went viral on TikTok. [4] The song was taken down by major platforms temporarily due to a copyrighted sample but the issue was resolved. [5]

On July 24, 2023 the Mississippi rapper was charged with first degree murder for the shooting and murder of his barber. [6] [7] He was denied bail in pretrial detention. [8]
