Surajit Chaudhuri is an Indian-American computer scientist notable for his contributions to database management systems. He is currently a distinguished scientist at Microsoft Research, where he leads the Data Management, Exploration and Mining group. Chaudhuri is an ACM Fellow. [1] [2]
He received his B.Tech. from Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, and his Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University in 1991 under Jeffrey Ullman. [3] [4] From 1992 to 1995, he has worked at HP Labs, Palo Alto. [5] [6]

Byrana Nagappa Suresh is an Indian aerospace scientist. He was President Indian National Academy of Engineering, INAE at Delhi, for four years during 2015 to 2018. He served as the Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram during the period 2003–2007. He is known for his contribution to the development of Indian launch vehicles, Space Capsule Recovery Experiments (SRE) and also for R& D management. Suresh also served as the founding director of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram. He retired from IIST in November 2010. He was Vikram Sarabhai Distinguished Professor at ISRO HQ for 5 years since November 2010 and also a professor at IIT, Mumbai and MIT, Manipal for 3 years. He was a member of the board of governors (BOG) for IIT, Madras for 7 years until July 2018. He is the vice chair for the Design Division of Aeronautical Society of India. He is one of the associate editors of the book From Fishing Hamlet To Red Planet and a co-author of Ever Upwards: ISRO in Images, both tracing the history of Indian Space Research Organisation. He is the President of the reputed Jnanadeepa Senior Secondary School and Sri Aurobindo Foundation for Education

Henrique "Rico" S. Malvar is a distinguished Brazilian engineer and a signal processing researcher at Microsoft Research's largest laboratory in Redmond, Washington, United States. He was the managing director of the lab following the departure of long-time Managing Director Dan Ling in 2007, when he oversaw about 350 researchers. He was a Distinguished Engineer at Microsoft for over 15 years. He retired from Microsoft in January 2023, and later received the title of Microsoft Emeritus Researcher.

Subhasis Chaudhuri is an Indian electrical engineer and former director at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is a former K. N. Bajaj Chair Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering of IIT Bombay. He is known for his pioneering studies on computer vision and is an elected fellow of all the three major Indian science academies viz. the National Academy of Sciences, India, Indian Academy of Sciences, and Indian National Science Academy. He is also a fellow of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Indian National Academy of Engineering. He studies control and manipulation of topological defects of liquid crystals, elasticity and defect mediated directed assembly, topological active matter, rheology and photonics of liquid crystals. He is a recipient of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology for his contributions to physical sciences in 2020.
