The Surface Laptop 4 is a laptop computer made by Microsoft. [1] It is the fourth generation of Surface Laptop which launched on 13 April 2021. It succeeds the Surface Laptop 3, which was released in 2019.

Contents

Surface Laptop 4 keeps the same form design and ports as its predecessor. The machine ships with an Intel 11th gen or AMD processor. [2] [3] There are models with an aluminum finish alongside models with the traditional Alcantara fabric covering. [4]

The displays are also the same as the previous models. The 13.5 inch model comes with a 2256 x 1504 resolution and the 15 inch model comes with a 2496 x 1664 resolution. Both models have the same 3:2 aspect ratio and 201 ppi.

The device is a new form factor featuring a dual-pivoting screen that flips into tablet mode. The laptop shipped with Windows 11.

The Surface Laptop Go 2 is an upgrade to the Surface Laptop Go. It is a mid-range portable computer with adequate capabilities for everyday PC use that is part of the company's Surface line of personal computing devices. The newer 11th-gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor and slightly enhanced 128 GB basic storage will be the laptop's key highlights. Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Go 2 in a new Sage color on June 1, 2022.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 is a laptop computer developed by Microsoft to replace the outgoing Surface Laptop 4. The device was announced on October 12, 2022, alongside the Surface Pro 9 and Surface Studio 2+. Key differences from its predecessor include newer Intel Alder Lake processors, support for Thunderbolt 4, the removal of AMD configuration options, and the replacement of the Ice Blue fabric finish option with the Sage metal option. The laptop comes preinstalled with the Windows 11 operating system.
