As a guest artist Owen has sung leading roles with opera companies throughout the world; including the Aalto Theatre, the Austin Lyric Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and Staatsoper Berlin the Hawaii Opera Theatre, the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, the Palm Beach Opera, the Semperoper, the Staatsoper Hannover, the Staatstheater Darmstadt, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi, Theater Aachen, Theater Bonn, and the Virginia Opera among others. Some of the roles she has performed on stage are Brünnhilde in The Ring Cycle , The Dyer's Wife in Die Frau ohne Schatten , both Elisabeth and Venus in Tannhäuser , Emilia Marty in The Makropulos Case , Georgette in Il Tabarro , Irene in Rienzi , Isolde in Tristan und Isolde , Leonora in La Forza del Destino , Maddalena in Andrea Chenier , Marie in Wozzeck , Ortrud in Lohengrin , Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana , Senta in The Flying Dutchman , The Woman in Erwartung , and the title roles in Aida , Elektra , Jenůfa , and Tosca .
In Germany
She made her European debut with an invitation from Maestro Daniel Barenboim to the Staatsoper Berlin, where she sang Senta (Der Fliegende Holländer) and Helmwige (Die Walküre). Ms. Owen has sung major roles in guest engagements at the Deutsche Oper Berlin (Isolde, Tristan und Isolde; Christian Thielemann conducting), Semper Oper Dresden (Barak's Frau, Die Frau ohne Schatten), Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Isolde and Senta) and Opéra de Nancy et de Lorraine, France (Isolde). Her interpretation of the title role of Elektra by Richard Strauss was hailed in the press as the “Singer-Discovery of the year 2000", a role she performed at Staatstheater Darmstadt, Aalto Theater Essen, Antikenfestspiele in Trier,Theater Münster and Staatsoper Hannover. At Staatstheater Darmstadt she was a full-time ensemble member from 1999 – 2002 where she performed the roles of Isolde, Barak's Frau, Emily Marty The Makropoulos Case and Ortrud Lohengrin. Ms. Owen sang Brünnhilde Der Ring des Nibelungen with great critical acclaim at Staatstheater Kassel. Complete live recordings of Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung were successfully released on CD by Ars Production, Germany.

Studer has performed more than eighty roles ranging from the dramatic repertoire to roles more commonly associated with lyric sopranos and coloratura sopranos, and, in her late stage, mezzo-sopranos. She is particularly known for her interpretations of the works of Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner.

After beginning her career in Munich and continuing with German companies, she moved on to major international opera houses, appearing as Isolde in Wagner's Tristan und Isolde at the Teatro Real in Madrid in 1986, as Senta in Der fliegende Holländer at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, and in the title role of Beethoven's Fidelio at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.
Ute Vinzing is a German dramatic soprano who received the title Kammersängerin. She is known for roles such as Wagner's Brünnhilde, Isolde, Ortrud and Kundry, and for Elektra and the Dyer's Wife by Richard Strauss, which she performed at international stages.
Erna Schlüter was a German operatic dramatic soprano and voice teacher. Beginning as a contralto at the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater in 1922, she moved to the Mannheim National Theatre in 1925 where her voice developed to dramatic soprano, to the Stadttheater Düsseldorf in 1930 where she appeared in 1933 in the world premiere of Winfried Zillig's Der Rossknecht and was awarded the title Kammersängerin. Her last station, from 1940, was the Hamburg State Opera.

She was a member of the ensemble at the Stadttheater Magdeburg and at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and gave guest performances at numerous German theatres and at the Bayreuth Festival, in Vienna, Paris, London, Brussels and Buenos Aires as well as at all the major opera houses in Italy. She was one of the most sought-after dramatic sopranos of her time.
Johanna André was a German soprano in opera and concert and a voice teacher. A long-term member of the Braunschweig Court Theatre, she appeared at major German opera houses, especially in dramatic roles such as Beethoven's Fidelio, and Wagner's Senta, Isolde and Brünnhilde. She took part in the world premiere of Wagner's Parsifal at the Bayreuth Festival.

Linda Watson is an American dramatic soprano and academic voice teacher. She made her career based in Germany where she studied and began as a mezzo-soprano at the Theater Aachen. She has performed worldwide, including at the Vienna State Opera, La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera and the Bayreuth Festival. She focused on dramatic roles by Wagner, including Brünnhilde and Isolde, and Strauss, including Ariadne and the Dyer's Wife. She was awarded the title Kammersängerin in Germany in 2004 and in Austria in 2020.
