Sven Kroken (born 29 September 1944) is a former Norwegian curler.
He is a champion of the first-ever European Curling Championships, played in 1975 [2] and a three-time Norwegian men's curling champion. [1]

Curling at the 2006 Winter Olympics was held in the town of Pinerolo, Italy from February 13 to February 24. It proved to be the sleeper hit in terms of television ratings in Italy. According to a CBC feature, curling at the 2006 Winter Games drew 5 million viewers, eclipsing ice hockey and figure skating. This, and the success of the Italian men's curling team created a surge of interest in curling within Italy, where there was no previous tradition of the sport and only a few hundred players.
Thomas Ulsrud was a Norwegian curler from Oslo. He won a silver medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics, one World Curling Championship, two European Curling Championships, and fourteen Norwegian titles. He was also known for being the skip of the team that competed while wearing colourful harlequin trousers at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Team Ulsrud's combined showmanship and sportsmanship became iconic and contributed to reviving worldwide interest in curling since then. In 2024, he was posthumousely inducted into the World Curling Hall of Fame.

Eigil Ramsfjell is a Norwegian curler, world champion and Olympic medalist. Many consider him one of the pioneers in modern curling. He received a bronze medal as skip at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano. He was skip on the gold winning team when curling was a demonstration event at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
Sjur Loen is a Norwegian curler and world champion. He participated on the winning team in the demonstration event at the 1988 Winter Olympics.

The 2010 Le Gruyère European Curling Championships were held in Champéry, Switzerland from December 3–11, 2010. Kroken Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Tromsø Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located the Kroken borough in the city of Tromsø. It is the church for the Kroken parish which is part of the Tromsø domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The brown, brick church was built in a fan-shaped style in 2006 using designs drawn up by the architect Nikolai Alfsen. The church seats about 600 people.

Kroken Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Drangedal Municipality in Telemark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kroken. It is the church for the Kroken parish which is part of the Bamble prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1910 using plans drawn up by the architect Victor Nordan. The church seats about 155 people.
