Swadesh Chakraborty (born 22 December 1943) was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Howrah constituency of West Bengal and is a member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) political party. He was the Mayor of Howrah Municipal Corporation.
Howrah railway station is a railway station located in the city of Howrah, West Bengal, India. Mohammedan Sporting Ground is a multi-use stadium in Kolkata, West Bengal. It is used mostly for football matches and is mainly the home stadium of Mohammedan. The ground has a natural grass turf. Bandel Junction railway station is one of the junction stations of the Kolkata Suburban Railway network, India. It is situated on the Howrah–Bandel–Barddhaman main line in Hooghly district with an approximate 40 kilometres (25 mi) distance from Howrah railway station. The station is operated by the Howrah railway division. A 16-line Loco shed and 14-line freight yard is also present. There are seven platforms at Bandel Junction station. However, platform number 6 can accommodate only the 9-coach EMU trains so most of the 9-coach Bandel–Naihati locals depart from that platform. Howrah Maidan Metro Station is a station of the Kolkata Metro Line 2 in Howrah Maidan, Howrah, India. The underground station is located near the Howrah Municipal Corporation Stadium and the Howrah Sarat Sadan. It is the terminus of Line 2 of the Kolkata Metro. The station was completed and inaugurated on 6th March 2024. Though being similar to any Line 1 underground station, it is made with world class amenities and patronage to football, the main sport of the state.
