Sweet Mercy are an English house music duo formed in the late 1980s, consisting of Eric Gooden and Eric Powell. In 1992 in Manchester, the duo founded their own house and techno record label, Bush Records.

Their single "Happy Days" featuring singer Joe Roberts charted on the UK Singles Chart in early 1996.

Also in 1996, under the alias 6 by Six, the duo scored a UK chart hit with "Into Your Heart".

The vocals of singer Rowetta in the duo's 1990 song "Reach Out" has been sampled by many artists such as the Black Eyed Peas, Slam, Peshay, DJ Zinc, Todd Terry, Matrix & Futurebound, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke and Oliver Heldens. [1] [2] In 2008, "Reach Out" was remixed and re-released with mixes by J Nitti, Peter Presta [3] and Mobin Master, among others. [4]

Other work

In 1991, Eric Gooden and Melanie Williams under the name Temper Temper scored a minor chart hit with the single "Talk Much" [5] and also released the self-titled album Temper Temper .

Gooden is also credited as having contributed backing vocals on the song "Last Time Lover" by the Spice Girls, from their 1996 debut album Spice . [6]

Utah Saints are an English electronic music duo consisting of members Jez Willis and Tim Garbutt. The band had three top-ten and another five top-40 singles on the UK Singles Chart in the 1990s, as well as number-one dance tracks in the UK and US. They were notable for pioneering use of sampling technology, in particular, their practice of manipulating samples from mainstream pop, rock, R&B and soul songs and combining them with contrasting dance beats, using the samples in a new context. Grace was a 1990s British dance music act, consisting of the DJs Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne and the jazz singer Dominique Atkins. The group's first single, "Not Over Yet", had lead and backing vocals by the original frontwoman Patti Low. Atkins recorded her own lead vocals for "Not Over Yet" when it was included as the first track on the group's only album If I Could Fly.

Nightcrawlers is a British-American house music project from Glasgow, Scotland and Chicago, Illinois, assembled by producer, DJ and vocalist John Reid.

Marc Kinchen, known by his initials MK, is an American DJ, record producer and remixer. He hit number-one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1993 and 1994 with the songs "Always" and "Love Changes". Lead vocals on both of those tracks were performed by Alana Simon. The combo also recorded the underground house music classic anthem "Burning". "Always" peaked at number 69 on the UK Singles Chart in February 1995. MK also hit the dance chart with "4 You", using the pseudonym 4th Measure Men.

Fire Island are an English house music duo, made up of producers and remixers Pete Heller and Terry Farley. Both are prolific musicians who have an extensive list of remixes to their credit, using the Fire Island moniker and also being billed as Heller & Farley Project, Roach Motel or Farley & Heller.

Melanie Williams is a British singer. She sang on the hit single "Ain't No Love " alongside the Manchester-based electronic group Sub Sub.
