Sylvania Southview High School is a public high school in Sylvania, Ohio. It is one of two high schools in the Sylvania Schools district, the other being Sylvania Northview High School.
Sylvania Southview has a Speech and Debate Team that competes in the National Forensics League. Each year, students compete in District Tournaments to qualify for the National Speech and Debate Tournament, which is held in a different city each year.[ citation needed ]
Sylvania Southview has a Mock Trial program. Their coach, Dennis Lyle, has been coaching for 29 years and has led the school through 8 state championships.[ citation needed ]
Sylvania Southview has also competed in a world championship at the Empire International Mock Trial Invitational in New York City on October 21, 2013. The team finished as #1 internationally after starting the competition at 35th out of 40 teams. In addition to being state/world champions in the 2013–2014 season, Southview finished 3rd at nationals, out of 46 teams across the country. The Southview Mock Trial Team placed 8th at a global level.[ citation needed ] They have also competed at Empire Mock Trial, where they finished 7th.[ citation needed ]
Orchestra members participate in the Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble and the Northwest Ohio Regional Orchestra and the Ohio All-State Orchestra. Band members participate in Ohio Music Education Association Solo & Ensemble and their large group contests. Band students have the Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic, and/or Jazz band to participate in.[ citation needed ]
The athletics program at Southview is known as the Cougars. The Cougars are designated as a Division I school and compete in all sports in the Northern Lakes League, with the exception of the boys' ice hockey team, who compete in the Northwest Hockey Conference.[ citation needed ]

It is the successor to Sylvania High School (1960–1976) and became Sylvania Northview in 1976 when a second high school in the district, Sylvania Southview, opened.
The Greater Buckeye Conference was a high school athletic conference with six members, all located in a large area of northern and northwest Ohio. It was affiliated with the Ohio High School Athletic Association. The conference was created for the 2003-2004 school year after the Great Lakes League folded, and lasted until the end of the 2010-11 school year.

Jerome opened for its first year during the 2004–2005 school year. Though located in the southeast tip of Union County, Dublin Jerome primarily serves students in parts of Franklin County and Delaware County. Jerome's mascot is the Celtic Warrior. It houses about 1,900 students in grades 9-12. Formerly Jackson High School, Grove City High School moved from the former Park Street building in 1970, where it had been located since 1929. Mentor High School is a public high school located in Mentor, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Mentor Exempted Village School District. At one time, it was the largest high school in Ohio based on single building enrollment. For the 2008–2009 school year, it shifted from a three-year school to a four-year high school, serving approximately 2,700 students. Mentor High School educates students from Mentor, Mentor-on-the-Lake, and parts of Kirtland Hills and Concord Township in Lake County, Ohio. Both middle schools from the Mentor Exempted Village School district, Memorial Middle School, Shore Middle School, feed into Mentor High School. The third middle school, Ridge Middle School, closed before the 2018–2019 school year had commenced, and has since been repurposed as an elementary school.
