Sylvia Harris (born 17 March 1965) is a British archer. [1] She competed in the women's individual and team events at the 1992 Summer Olympics. [2]

She represented the United States at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where she received a gold medal in women's 4x400 metres relay with Rochelle Stevens, Maicel Malone, and Jearl Miles, having run a very fast leg and passing a Nigerian team leading by several meters. She also competed in the women's 400 metres but did not advance past the semifinals. At the 1995 IAAF World Indoor Championships, she won third place in the 4x400 m relay, along with her teammates Nelrae Pasha, Tanya Dooley, and Flirtisha Harris.

Sylvia Cheeseman English sprinter

Sylvia Cheeseman is a retired English sprinter. Competing in relays, she won two medals at the 1950 British Empire Games and one at the 1952 Olympics. Individually she was eliminated in the 200 m at the 1948 Olympics and in the 1952 Olympics she won her heat but was eliminated in the semi-final. She won the Amateur Athletic Association of England title in this event in 1946–1949 and 1951–1952, placing second in 1950.

Sylvia Burka Canadian cyclist and speed skater

Sylvia Burka is a former ice speed skater and track cyclist from Canada of Latvian descent, who represented her native country at three consecutive Winter Olympics, starting in 1972 in Sapporo, Japan. She was the first person in history to win a World Championship in both Allround and Sprint disciplines. She never won an Olympic medal, with her best Olympic result being the fourth place in 1000 m in 1976.

Bill Harris (swimmer) American swimmer

William White Harris, Jr. was an American competition swimmer who represented the United States at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium. Harris competed in the men's 100-meter freestyle, advanced to the final, and received the bronze medal for his third-place finish in 1:03.0. He also swam in the men's 400-meter freestyle; he advanced to the event semifinal and posted a time of 5:36.0.

Christopher John Nicholson is a New Zealand sportsman who has represented the country at both the Winter Olympics as a short track speed skater and at the Summer Olympics as a cyclist. He competed at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona, the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, and the 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer. The only other New Zealander to compete at both the Summer and Winter Olympics is Madonna Harris.
