TAFE Queensland is the statutory authority parent body for TAFE technical and further education training in the Australian state of Queensland.

Established in 1882, TAFE Queensland is one of Australia's largest education providers with 120,000+ students trained each year [1] across the state, nationally and internationally.

On 1 July 2013, the state's TAFE institutes were organised into six regions; Brisbane, East Coast, Gold Coast, North, SkillsTech, and South West.

On 1 July 2014, TAFE Queensland was officially established as a statutory body by the TAFE Queensland Act 2013.

On 1 July 2017, TAFE Queensland began consolidating their six regional registered training organisations (RTOs) into a single RTO. [2]

TAFE Queensland offers a wide range of qualifications under the Australian Qualifications Framework, including entry-level skill sets, certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas and bachelor degrees.

While the AQF specifies the standards, education and training organisations are authorised by accrediting authorities to issue a qualification.

South East Queensland (SEQ) is a bio-geographical, metropolitan, political and administrative region of the state of Queensland in Australia, with a population of approximately 3.8 million people out of the state's population of 5.1 million. The area covered by South East Queensland varies, depending on the definition of the region, though it tends to include Queensland's three largest cities: the capital city Brisbane; the Gold Coast; and the Sunshine Coast. Its most common use is for political purposes, and covers 35,248 square kilometres (13,609 sq mi) and incorporates 11 local government areas, extending 240 kilometres (150 mi) from Noosa in the north to the Gold Coast and New South Wales border in the south, and 140 kilometres (87 mi) west to Toowoomba.

TAFE NSW is an Australian vocational education and training provider. Annually, the network trains over 500,000 students in campus, workplace, online, or distance education methods of education. It was established as an independent statutory body under the TAFE Commission Act 1990. The Minister for Regional Development, Skills and Small Business is responsible for TAFE NSW.

Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE (SQIT) is an Australian vocational college for teaching Tertiary and Further Education. The Institute provides training across a significant portion of Southern Queensland with campuses in Toowoomba, Roma, Warwick, Kingaroy, Dalby, Chinchilla, Charleville, Cherbourg and Stanthorpe.

The Queensland Country Championships, also known as the Graincorp Country Championship, is a rugby union competition for teams from regions of Queensland outside of Brisbane. The Queensland Country Rugby Union administers the competitions at Senior and Colts levels. Eleven country sub-unions are grouped into three regional divisions in Northern, Central, and Southern Queensland for the championships.

Wide Bay–Burnett is a region of the Australian state of Queensland, located between 170–400 km (110–250 mi) north of the state capital, Brisbane. The area's population growth has exceeded the state average over the past 20 years, and it is forecast to grow to more than 430,000 by 2031. It is the subject of the Draft Wide Bay–Burnett Regional Plan, which aims to facilitate this growth while protecting over 90% of the region from urban development.

Australian Industry Trade College (AITC) - RTO 31775, is an independent, senior school for Young People located in Robina, Cleveland and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. Students in Years 10, 11 and 12 undertake school-based apprenticeships or traineeships which include paid work placements and the opportunity to complete vocational education training in the student's chosen area.

TAFE Queensland Brisbane was formed in 2013 on 1 July by the amalgamation of Southbank Institute of Technology, the Brisbane North Institute of TAFE and the Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE. TAFE Queensland Brisbane has eight campus locations spread across the Greater Brisbane geographical footprint from the north side (Caboolture) to the far south (Loganlea).

TAFE Queensland East Coast covers the Sunshine Coast and part of the Wide Bay Burnett region in Queensland, Australia. It was formed in 2013 by the amalgamation of the Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE and the Wide Bay Institute of TAFE and has eight campus locations.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">TAFE Queensland South West</span>

TAFE Queensland South West was formed by a merger of the Southern Queensland Institute and The Bremer Institute of TAFE on 1 July 2013. It has 11 campus locations spread around the outer western suburbs of Brisbane, further out into regional south-west Queensland and partly into Wide Bay Burnett, covering an area approximately equal to the size of France.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">South Regional TAFE</span>

South Regional TAFE is a State Training Provider providing a range of vocational education located in southern regional Western Australia. On 11 April 2016, South West Institute of Technology, Great Southern Institute of Technology, the CY O’Connor Institute Narrogin campus and the Goldfields Institute of Technology Esperance campus formed South Regional TAFE.

The Australian Institute of Fitness (AIF) is a privately owned, registered training organisation, and the largest fitness training organisation in Australia. Beginning operations as the Health Studio Attendants course in Perth in 1979, the Institute became Australia's first national fitness training provider in 2000, with the merger of five state-based fitness training programs.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">North Metropolitan TAFE</span>

North Metropolitan TAFE is a state government-funded educational facility delivering Technical and Further Education (TAFE). It services the northern suburbs of Perth across ten campuses. It was formed on 11 April 2016, when the State Government announced after the Independent Review of the Vocational Education and Training Sector in Western Australia, that the 11 State Training Providers would be streamlined and form five new TAFE colleges in Western Australia. This resulted in the merging of Central Institute and West Coast Institute to form North Metropolitan TAFE.
