The TCDD E23000 series are Electric Multiple Units that were built by Hyundai Rotem, with delivery beginning in 2009. The E23000s were built to replace the E8000 and E14000 EMUs. Each set has 3 permanently coupled cars.

They are operated by the Turkish State Railways for commuter service in Ankara and leased by İZBAN A.Ş. (10 EMUs) for commuter service in Izmir. After that all E22100 EMUs ordered by İZBAN A.Ş. will enter in service, these 10 sets will go back to Ankara. [1]

These EMUs also operated in Istanbul (Sirkeci–Halkalı line and Haydarpaşa–Gebze line) before the closing of these lines for the construction of Marmaray. As E32000 plans are in place to use EMUs, on Marmaray, these sets won't be used in Istanbul any more.

Pendik station is the main railway station in Pendik, Istanbul. Located between Hatboyu and Abdülhalik Renda Avenues in southeastern Pendik. TCDD Taşımacılık operates YHT trains to Ankara and Konya, via Eskişehir, along with daily regional trains to Adapazarı. The station is 24.05 km (14.94 mi) away from Haydarpaşa station in central Istanbul. The metro line M10 is currently under construction to make the link with Sabiha Gökçen Airport, which is located about 9 km in the North.

Yenikapı Transfer Center, referred to as Yenikapı, is an underground transportation complex in Istanbul. It is located in south-central Fatih in the neighborhood of Yenikapı, hence the name of the hub. The complex is right next to the Yenikapı railway station serving the T6 light rail line and a short walk away from the Yenikapı Ferry Terminal and İDO ferry service. Yenikapı complex links two stations of Istanbul Metro to a railway station of the Turkish State Railways on the trans-Bosphorus Marmaray tunnel. Yenikapı is the largest rapid transit station in Turkey.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">TCDD E32000</span> Hyundai-built Turkish electric multiple units

The TCDD E32000 is an electric multiple unit railway car built by Hyundai-Rotem for the Turkish State Railways. They were ordered exclusively to operate along the Marmaray commuter rail network in Istanbul with delivery beginning in 2011. The EMUs consist of 5-car and 10-car sets respectively. The first EMUs went into service along Istanbul's two commuter rail lines from 2012 and 2013. On 29 October 2013, the first 5-car sets began operating between Kazlıçeşme and Ayrılıkçeşmesi as part of Phase I of the Marmaray project.
