TMA Engineering Ltd, [1] is an engineering business based in Erdington, West Midlands, who supply services around power presses, but are best known for their sideline in building and overhauling miniature steam locomotives.
Erdington is a suburb and ward of Birmingham that is historically part of Warwickshire. Its postcodes include B23, B24 and B72. It is 5 miles (8 km) northeast of central Birmingham, England and borders Sutton Coldfield. It was also a council constituency, managed by its own district committee. The former council district consisted of the ward of Erdington, and Tyburn,, Stockland Green and Kingstanding, although all of Kingstanding and most of both Tyburn and Stockland Green wards lie outside the historical boundaries of Erdington. Stockland Green was formerly part of Aston, Kingstanding part of Perry Barr and Tyburn partially split between Aston and Hodge Hill. Erdington was part of the Sutton Coldfield constituency before 1974.

A steam locomotive is a type of railway locomotive that produces its pulling power through a steam engine. These locomotives are fueled by burning combustible material – usually coal, wood, or oil – to produce steam in a boiler. The steam moves reciprocating pistons which are mechanically connected to the locomotive's main wheels (drivers). Both fuel and water supplies are carried with the locomotive, either on the locomotive itself or in wagons (tenders) pulled behind.
Most of the railway work that they undertake is in the 7¼" gauge, but they have also overhauled several 15" gauge locomotives, and have built five substantial 15" gauge diesel locomotives. [4] One of the latest projects that the company was to undertake has been the overhauling of the R&ER steam locomotive River Mite over the Winter of 2006/07.

The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway (RH&DR) is a 15 in gauge light railway in Kent, England, operating steam and internal combustion locomotives. The 13 3⁄4-mile (22.1 km) line runs from the Cinque Port of Hythe via Dymchurch, St. Mary's Bay, New Romney and Romney Sands to Dungeness, close to Dungeness nuclear power station and Dungeness Lighthouse.
