Streaming television is the digital distribution of television content, such as television shows and films, as streaming media delivered over the Internet. Streaming television stands in contrast to dedicated terrestrial television delivered by over-the-air aerial systems, cable television, and/or satellite television systems.

DigitAlb Sh.A is an Albanian media, digital satellite and terrestrial TV platform based in Tirana, Albania. The TV platform began terrestrial broadcasts on 15 July 2004, and satellite broadcasts by the end of that year. At the same time, DigitAlb began broadcasting some channels of defunct AlbaniaSat's satellite platform SAT + which eventually went bankrupt. DigitAlb closely collaborates with absorbing sports package SuperSport while having introduced wireless DVB-H technology for wireless TV for the first time in Albania since 2006. On 15 July 2022, to celebrate 18 years, Digitalb launched its OTT service.
Television in Kosovo was first introduced in 1974. The Radio Television of Pristina was the first Albanian-speaking broadcaster in Kosovo, founded in 1974 following Radio Pristina's founding in 1945. It was forcefully shut down in 1990 by the Yugoslavian government, forbidding the flow of information through Kosovan airwaves during the Kosovo War. In wartime, the information blackout was covered by Radio 21 and Koha Ditore, while television was under the sole ownership of the Radio Television of Serbia.
SuperSport is an Albanian group of television sports channels operated by terrestrial television platform DigitAlb. The channels broadcast a range of different sports such as the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, Dutch Eredivisie, French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Euro, UEFA Europa Conference League, Copa América, ATP 500, ATP 1000, IAAF, etc.

An over-the-top (OTT) media service is a media service offered directly to viewers via the Internet. OTT bypasses cable, broadcast, and satellite television platforms—the mediums through which companies have traditionally acted as controllers or distributors of such content. It has also been used to describe no-carrier cellphones, for which all communications are charged as data, avoiding monopolistic competition, or apps for phones that transmit data in this manner, including both those that replace other call methods and those that update software.
SonyLIV is an over-the-top streaming platform owned by Culver Max Entertainment. SonyLIV was introduced in 2013 as the first OTT service in India. As a streaming service, it provides live sports, original titles, other content titles from its own networks and content titles in India licensed from third-parties such as Lionsgate and ITV among others. Big Brother VIP Kosova is a Kosovan reality game show based on the Dutch reality competition franchise Big Brother. The show follows a number of celebrity contestants, known as housemates, who are isolated from the outside world for an extended period of time in a custom built house. Each week, one of the housemates is evicted by a public vote, with the last housemate named the winner. Like Big Brother VIP Albania, it includes ethnic Albanians from the Balkans and the Diaspora.
