His other notable accomplishments include being a three-time World Cup Champion in 2007, 2008 and 2010, a singles silver medalist at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics. In January 2010, he was replaced by Ma Long as the #1 rank on the official ITTF world rankings. He was previously ranked #1 on the official ITTF world rankings for 27 consecutive months, from October 2007 to December 2009. In April 2011, he was again the top ranked male player in the world. He is known to execute the Reverse Penhold Backhand (RPB) with exceptional skill.

Mouma Das is an Indian table tennis player. Born and brought up in Kolkata, West Bengal, she has represented India in international events since the early 2000s. Das has won multiple medals at the Commonwealth Games including a gold in the Women's Team Competition in 2018. She was awarded the Arjuna Award, India's second highest sporting honour in 2013 for her contributions to the sport.

Poulomi Ghatak is a table tennis player from West Bengal, India. She won three junior national championships as well as seven senior national championships between 1998 and 2016. In 1998 she won both the senior national and junior national championships. Poulomi has represented India at the Commonwealth Games at Melbourne in 2006 and the Commonwealth Championships between 2000 and 2008. She played at the Sydney Olympics when she was 16. She also played in the Indian Open finals in 2007. She started playing in 1992 and thereafter went on a successful upward learning curve.

In 2018, Gao won the men's singles as well as the mixed doubles at the Commonwealth Games along with Yu Mengyu.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Teqball</span> Sport played with a football over a curved table

Teqball is a ball sport that is played on a curved table, combining elements of sepak takraw and table tennis. Back and forth, the players hit a football with any part of the body except arms and hands. Teqball can be played between two players as a singles game, or between four players as a doubles game. The game is represented at an international level by the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ). A number of world-class footballers have been attracted by the game, and after being added to the programmes for the 2021 Asian Beach Games and the 2023 European Games, the sport is now aiming for Olympic inclusion.

The 2019 Asian Table Tennis Championships were held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 15 to 22 September 2019. Around 128 males and 100 females table tennis players competed in the singles, doubles and team events.

The Pakistan women's national table tennis team represents Pakistan in international table tennis competitions. It is administered by the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF). Members of the team compete in singles, doubles, mixed doubles and team events at competitions including continental and regional games and continental championships.

Shin Yu-bin is a South Korean table tennis player.
