The women's team table tennis event at the 2018 Asian Games took place from 26 to 28 August 2018 at the Jakarta International Expo. [1] Team ranking was based on the ITTF world team ranking of August 2018. [2]

The Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) is an Asian table tennis governing body formed on May 7, 1972, and recognized by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) in 1975. ATTU was founded by 16 member associations, currently, 44 member associations are affiliated to ATTU.

The ITTF–ATTU Asian Cup is an annual table tennis competition held by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU). The first edition was held in 1983. The competition features men's and women's singles events, with 16 players qualifying to take part in each event, subject to a maximum of two players per association.

The women's team table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme and took place between November 13 and 16, at the Guangzhou Gymnasium.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hina Hayata</span> Japanese table tennis player

Hina Hayata is a Japanese international table tennis player. She is the most successful player on the ITTF Challenge Series since its inception in 2017. Owing to her stature, she is able to generate more spin on both sides than most female players. She is coached by Daisuka Ishida.

The 2018 ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup was a table tennis competition that took place from 6–8 April in Yokohama, Japan. The event was organised by the Japan Table Tennis Association (JTTA), under the authority of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU). It was the 31st edition of the event, and the third time that it had been held in Japan.

India competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September. Neeraj Chopra was the flag bearer for the opening ceremony while Rani Rampal was named as the flag bearer for the closing ceremony.

The women's football tournament at the 2018 Asian Games was held from 16 to 31 August in Palembang, Indonesia. North Korea were the defending champions, but were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The host team was eliminated in the group stage.

Singapore competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the nation's seventeenth appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut at the 1948 Games. In addition, Singapore was part of the Malaysian team at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, but did not attend at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, because of its support for the United States boycott. The opening ceremony flag-bearers for Singapore are table tennis player Yu Mengyu and shuttler Loh Kean Yew. Diver Jonathan Chan is the flag-bearer for the closing ceremony.

The 20th Asian Table Tennis Championships were held in Macau, China, from 23 February to 1 March 2012. It was originally organised and hosted by the Lebanese Table Tennis Federation for 12 to 18 September 2011 with the prospective location of Jamhour Stadium, Beirut, Lebanon. However, due to security deterioration in the region, the Lebanon TTF informed Asian Table Tennis Union(ATTU) that they decided to cancel hosting the 20th ATTC.

The 14th Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships 2008 were held in Singapore, from 23 to 27 July 2008. It was organised by the Singapore Table Tennis Association under the authority of the Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) and International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

The Pakistan women's national table tennis team represents Pakistan in international table tennis competitions. It is administered by the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF). The women's team table tennis event at the 2022 Asian Games took place from 22 to 26 September 2023 at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Gymnasium.
