Kuala Lumpur, officially the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and colloquially referred to as KL, is a federal territory and the ceremonial, legislative and judicial capital city of Malaysia. It is one of the fastest growing cities in Asia and the largest city in Malaysia, covering an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi) with a census population of 1,982,112 as of 2020. Greater Kuala Lumpur, also known as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.564 million people as of 2018. It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in Southeast Asia, both in population and economic development.
The ERL KLIA Ekspres is an express airport rail link servicing the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malaysia. It runs from KL Sentral, the main railway station of Kuala Lumpur to KLIA as well as its low-cost terminal, klia2. The line is one of the two services on the Express Rail Link (ERL) system, sharing the same tracks as the KLIA Transit. The KLIA Transit stops at all stations along the line, whereas the KLIA Ekspres runs as a direct non-stop express service between KL Sentral and KLIA/klia2. The is operated by Express Rail Link Sdn. Bhd. (ERL). Unlike most railways in Malaysia, it uses standard gauge instead of metre gauge.
The KL Monorail Line is one of the operational monorail systems in Malaysia. Operated as part of the RapidKL system by Rapid Rail, a subsidiary of Prasarana Malaysia, it is one of the components of the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System. The line is numbered 8 and coloured light green on official transit maps.
Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station is a transit-oriented development that houses the main railway station of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Opened on 16 April 2001, KL Sentral replaced the old Kuala Lumpur railway station as the city's main intercity railway station. KL Sentral is the largest railway station in Malaysia, and the second largest in Southeast Asia, behind Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal in Bangkok, Thailand.
Kuala Lumpur Tower, also known as KL Tower and is a 6-story, 421-meter-tall telecommunication tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the world's 7th tallest tower, also, Malaysia and Southeast Asia's 2nd tallest tower. Its construction was completed on 1994. It features an antenna that increases its height to 421 metres. The roof of the pod is at 335 metres. The rest of the tower below has a stairwell and an elevator to reach the upper area, which also contains a revolving restaurant, providing diners with a panoramic view of the city.

The 2017 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 29th Southeast Asian Games, or the 29th SEA Games, and commonly known as Kuala Lumpur 2017, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event that took place from 19 to 30 August 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This was the sixth time that Malaysia hosted the games and its first time since 2001. Previously, it had also hosted the 1965, 1971, 1977 and 1989 editions of the games. The 2017 edition is most notable for being the first edition to include winter sports.
The KL Marathon is an annual marathon event held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event was established in 1989. In the 26th edition of the marathon in 2017, close to 36,000 runners participated in the event.

Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur, also known as Four Seasons KLCC and FSP KLCC Tower, is a 74-story, 342.5-metre tall (1,124 ft) supertall skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Malaysia. It is Malaysia's fourth tallest building. It features a 21 m (69 ft) high crown made out of steel at the top of the tower, making the tower reaches the height of 342.5 m (1,124 ft). It is located within the Kuala Lumpur City Centre precinct in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The building was developed by Ipoh-born Singapore tycoon, Ong Beng Seng, partnering Tan Sri Syed Yusof Tun Syed Nasir and the Sultan of Selangor under Venus Assets Sdn Bhd. It is currently the fourth tallest building in Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur City Football Club, known simply as KL City FC, is a Malaysian professional football club based in Kuala Lumpur. The club competes in the Malaysia Super League, the top level of Malaysian football, and was founded in 1974 as Federal Territory by the Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA). It was later renamed Kuala Lumpur FA and Kuala Lumpur United, before renaming to its current name in 2021.
