The Bukit Jalil National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With a capacity of 87,500, it is the largest stadium in Southeast Asia, the fourth largest in Asia, and the fifteenth largest in the world.
The Independence Stadium or Merdeka Stadium is a stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is known as the site of the formal declaration of independence of the Federation of Malaya on 31 August 1957. The stadium is also the site of the proclamation of Malaysia on 16 September 1963.
Golf is officially recognized as firstly featuring in the Summer Olympic Games programme in 1900 and was also contested at the 1904 Summer Olympics. A golf tournament was to have been held in 1908, but it was cancelled less than two days before it was scheduled to start. The men's football tournament at the 2017 SEA Games was held from 14 to 29 August in Malaysia in August 2017. In this tournament, all 11 Southeast Asian teams played in the men's competition. In addition to the host city of Kuala Lumpur, matches were also played in Shah Alam and Selayang. Associations affiliated with FIFA might send teams to participate in the tournament. Men's teams were restricted to under-22 players.
