The 2017 games featured only men's tournament. It served as a qualifying event for the 2018 Winter Olympics

  1. 1 2 Initially scheduled at 16:00, the gold medal match between the Philippines and Thailand was delayed. The Philippines made a failed appeal to let its captain, Steven Füglister play in the match who incurred a suspension penalty in their previous match against Malaysia. Chinese Taipei won the tournament for the second year in a row after winning all four of their round robin games and finishing first in the standings. Thailand finished in second place and Singapore finished third.

The men's basketball tournament at the 2017 SEA Games was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the MABA Stadium from 20 to 26 August. The New Zealand under-18 team finished in second place and Thailand finished third.

The 2019 IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia was an international women's ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament took place between 14 April and 19 April 2019 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and was the seventh edition held since its formation in 2010 under the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia series of tournaments. Thailand won the tournament after finishing first in the standings. Chinese Taipei finished in second place and Singapore finished third.

The Kuwait women's national ice hockey team is the ice hockey team representing Kuwait internationally in women's competition. The team is overseen by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The team was formed in 2017 and currently competes in the IIHF Women's Challenge Cup of Asia Division I tournament.

The Indonesia men's national junior ice hockey team is the men's national under-20 ice hockey team of Indonesia. The team is controlled by the Indonesia Ice Hockey Federation, a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. The team made its international debut in December 2018 at the 2019 IIHF U20 Challenge Cup of Asia Division I tournament which it went on to finish third.

The 2022 IIHF U20 Asia and Oceania Championship was an international men's under-20 ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The tournament took place between 25 June and 2 July at Thailand International Ice Hockey Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, and was the sixth edition held since its formation in 2012 under the IIHF Asia and Oceania Championship series of tournaments. To be eligible as a "junior" player in this tournament, a player cannot be born earlier than 2002.
