Tallyn Da Silva (born 20 April 2005) is an Australian rugby league footballer who plays as a hooker for the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League (NRL).
Da Silva grew up in the Campbelltown area, and was educated at Westfields Sports High School. He played his junior career with the East Campbelltown Eagles. [2]
Da Silva joined the Wests Tigers in 2023. Da Silva started the season in the S. G. Ball Cup competition, then quickly graduated to the Jersey Flegg Cup competition, before ending up in the NSW Cup competition. Tigers' coach Tim Sheens, who allowed the likes of Benji Marshall and Chris Lawrence to thrive at a very young age noticed Da Silva's efforts, and was fast tracked to the first grade side.[ citation needed ]
Da Silva made his first grade debut for the Wests Tigers from the bench with regular back-up hooker Jake Simpkin promoted to the starting side in place of the injured Apisai Koroisau, in his side's 28–6 loss to the Melbourne Storm at Campbelltown Stadium in round 16 of the 2023 NRL season. [3]
The Wests Tigers are an Australian professional rugby league football team, based in the Inner West of Sydney and South Western Sydney. They have competed in the National Rugby League (NRL) since being formed at the end of the 1999 NRL season as a joint-venture club between the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Wests Tigers started playing in the 2000 NRL season and they won their maiden premiership in 2005. It is one of only two clubs that has never lost a Grand Final in which it has participated. The club also won the final edition of the World Sevens in 2004. The club has only qualified for three finals series since their inception.
The Western Suburbs Magpies are an Australian rugby league football club based in the western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales. Formed in 1908, Wests, as they are commonly referred to, were one of the nine foundation clubs of the first New South Wales Rugby League competition in Australia. The club, as a sole entity, departed the top-flight competition in 1999 after forming a 50–50 joint venture with Balmain Tigers to form the Wests Tigers. The club currently fields sides in the NSW State Cup, Ron Massey Cup (Opens), S.G. Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup competitions.
Timothy Sheens is an Australian professional rugby league football coach and former player. Head Coach of the Australia national team between 2009 and 2015, he has also been the head coach of National Rugby League (NRL) clubs, the Penrith Panthers, the Canberra Raiders, the North Queensland Cowboys and the Wests Tigers. As a player, Sheens was a prop forward with Sydney's Penrith club in the 1970s and 1980s before he retired and became their coach.
Campbelltown Sports Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Leumeah, New South Wales, Australia, owned by Campbelltown City Council. Formerly known as Orana Park and Campbelltown Sports Ground, it is currently the home ground of the Western Suburbs Magpies, Wests Tigers and Macarthur FC. The stadium has a nominal capacity of 17500, with a recorded highest crowd figure of 20,527 for a game between Wests Tigers and North Queensland Cowboys in the 2005 NRL season. It is located adjacent to Leumeah railway station and Wests Leagues Club.
Russell Aitken is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer. Aitken is currently the head coach of St. George Illawarra Dragons NSW Cup Side. Aitken formerly coached the Helensburgh Tigers who competed in the Sydney Shield Competition, in the 2020 season. Aitken most recently played professionally with the AS Carcassonne rugby league club in France.

Ballin is the current head coach for the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles which is the feeder team playing in the NSW Cup Competition, prior to that he was the Under 20s Head Coach. He has played one game for Queensland in State of Origin. He played at hooker and previously played for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, with whom he won the 2008 and 2011 Premierships.
