Tapiwa Mufudza (born 20 September 1990) is a Zimbabwean cricketer.
Mufudza has been an off-spinner since he took up the game at Mbizi Primary School in Highfield,Harare. He played for the Takashinga Cricket Club in Harare before being recruited by Mountaineers. [1]
He played his first matches for Mountaineers in 2011–12,and established himself in the side in 2012–13,when he took 13 wickets at an average of 14.92 to lead the national first-class bowling averages. [2] In the Logan Cup match against Southern Rocks he scored 39 batting at number 10,then took 2 for 46 and 5 for 27 in a 116-run victory. [3] In the Zimbabwean T20 competition final against Mashonaland Eagles he opened the bowling and took 4 for 14. Mountaineers won the match and he won the man of the match award. [4]
He played for Cookham Dean in the Thames Valley Cricket League in 2014,taking 80 wickets at an average of 14.86 and making 499 runs at 27.72. [5]
In the Logan Cup in December 2014,Mufudza took 7 for 31 in the second innings against Mid West Rhinos,including the first six wickets to fall,to ensure victory for Mountaineers. [6] In January 2015 he played two 50-over matches for Zimbabwe A against Canada,taking two wickets for 56 runs in 20 overs. [7] Later that month,opening the bowling in a List A match against Mashonaland Eagles,he took 4 for 28. [8]
In December 2020,Mufudza was selected to play for the Eagles in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. [9] [10] In April 2021,he was named in Zimbabwe's squad for their Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Pakistan. [11]
Chamunorwa Justice "Chamu" Chibhabha is a Zimbabwean cricketer who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. In January 2020,Zimbabwe Cricket named him as the captain of Zimbabwe's One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) squads on an interim basis.
Kyle Malcolm Jarvis is a Zimbabwean former cricketer who represented Zimbabwe and played for Lancashire. The son of another former Zimbabwean international cricketer Malcolm Jarvis,he was educated at St John's College,Harare,where he excelled at rugby and cricket. Kyle was a key bowler for Zimbabwe in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup and he also played for the Zimbabwe U-19 Rugby Team. He was coached by Zimbabwean veteran seamer Heath Streak. He was one of the fastest bowlers to have played for Zimbabwe bowling at 140 km/h very often during his early career. On 17 June 2021,Jarvis retired from all forms of cricket after battling a trio of illnesses earlier this year.
The Mashonaland Eagles is one of five cricket Zimbabwean cricket franchises. They are based in the Harare Metropolitan and Mashonaland Central area and play both first-class and limited overs cricket. They play their home matches at Harare Sports Club in Harare.
The 2009–10 Logan Cup was a first-class cricket competition held in Zimbabwe from 14 September 2009 –3 April 2010. It was won by the Mashonaland Eagles,who won due to finishing top of the table during the league stage of the competition,after drawing the final against the Mid West Rhinos.

The Pro50 Championship,formerly known as the Faithwear Metbank One-Day Competition,Metbank Pro40 Championship,Faithwear Inter-Provincial Tournament,and Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship is the premier List A cricket tournament in Zimbabwe,organized by Zimbabwe Cricket. This tournament was started after the Zimbabwean cricket crisis,recommended by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is jointly sponsored by Metbank and Coca-Cola.
Calum Walter Price is a domestic and former Zimbabwean Under-19 cricketer. Along with the likes of Keegan Meth and Kyle Jarvis,he is regarded as a great future pace prospect for Zimbabwe. The 2011–12 Logan Cup was a first-class cricket competition held in Zimbabwe from 26 September 2011 to 16 February 2012. The tournament was won by the Matabeleland Tuskers,who claimed their second consecutive title,becoming the first team to win back-to-back championships during the franchise era of the competition. The competition was altered from the previous two seasons;during the group stage,each team played eight matches,rather than the twelve played previously;and rather than the title being decided by a final,the winner of the league won the tournament.
Tinotenda Confidence Mutombodzi is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He began his career as a leg-spin bowler,but now plays principally as a batsman. He made his One Day International debut against the West Indies in February 2013,and his T20 International debut against the same team in March 2013.
Donald Tatenda Tiripano is a Zimbabwean cricketer,who plays for the national team. He is a right-arm fast bowler and tail-ended batsman.
Richmond Mutumbami is a Zimbabwean cricketer. A wicket-keeper batsman,Mutumbami made his first-class debut as a 17-year-old against Southerns in April 2007. The 2017–18 Logan Cup was the 24th edition of the Logan Cup,a first-class cricket competition that took place in Zimbabwe. It started on 4 October 2017 and included a new team,the Rising Stars,along with the existing four teams. Mountaineers were the defending champions.
The 2018–19 Logan Cup was the 25th edition of the Logan Cup,a first-class cricket competition in Zimbabwe,that started on 3 December 2018. The tournament featured four teams,instead of the five that took part in the previous edition,with the Rising Stars being disbanded. The other change to the 2018–19 tournament was that it was being played across six rounds,instead of ten,as per previous years. Mountaineers were the defending champions.
