Tarneit West railway station is a proposed railway station on the Deer Park-West Werribee railway line in Victoria, Australia. Tarneit West station is proposed to be located east of Davis Road, and is planned to be opened in 2026. [1] [2]
Funding was committed to build the station following the Andrews Labor state government's re-election at the 2022 Victorian state election, [3] [4] with site investigation works beginning on 25 March 2024. [5]
In November 2024, the Allan government announced that construction of the station will begin in 2025, and the station will be open to passengers in 2026. [6] [7] Community consultation also started for the station's name and early designs.
The project will be delivered by the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority's Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) team. [8]

The Deer Park–West Werribee railway line is a 28 km (17 mi) non-electrified rail line in the outer-western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. The line was constructed as part of the Regional Rail Link project between June 2012 and October 2014, and opened in June 2015, with the goal of separating V/Line's Geelong line services from Metro's Werribee line services. It runs from a junction site near Manor to another junction site near Deer Park, where it joins the rest of the Regional Rail Link towards the line's terminus at Southern Cross.

Melbourne Airport Rail, also known as SRL Airport, is a proposed heavy rail project, connecting the Melbourne CBD to Melbourne Airport at Tullamarine. The rail link will run through the under-construction Metro Tunnel, running 27 km (16.8 mi) from the airport to Town Hall station in the city centre with 12 km (7.5 mi) of new track between the airport and Sunshine station. The link will be a new branch of the Melbourne Metro rail network and run High-Capacity Metro Trains at a 10-minute frequency. Rail Projects Victoria (RPV) was a project team of the Government of Victoria, Australia, responsible for the management of certain major infrastructure projects on the Victorian rail network, such as Metro Tunnel, Regional Rail Revival and Melbourne Airport Rail. Originally established as the Melbourne Metro Rail Authority (MMRA), to deliver the Melbourne Metro Rail Project, the office was later expanded in its responsibilities to include the management and planning of a number of major infrastructure programs on V/Line's regional rail services.
