Taste Test is the debut extended play by Canadian drag queen Priyanka, released on July 16, 2021. [1] Guests on the five-track collection include fellow Canada's Drag Race contestant Lemon as well as RuPaul's Drag Race UK contestant Cheryl Hole. [2]
Priyanka has said of the EP's creative process:
I began working on new music at a time when my life was in shambles. My uncle died, I got into a car accident and my boyfriend had just dumped me. I was inspired to channel all of that pain and confusion into larger-than-life pop songs my fans could dance and cry to. [3]
She has also said:
There was a time when people looked at drag queens to kind of just be like clowns. But music is the next chapter where drag artists are charting on iTunes and drag artists are selling out stadiums, or opening for artists like Ariana Grande and Little Mix.... I think it's time for that because people don't take it seriously because we're kind of looked at like circus freaks. And we are, and that's why we're amazing and beautiful and creative, and there's so much pizzazz about us, but it's time for people to take drag music seriously." [4]
Fellow Canada's Drag Race contestant Lemon is featured on "Come Through" and RuPaul's Drag Race UK contestant Cheryl Hole appears on "Snatch".
"Cake" and "Bitch I'm Busy" were released as singles on May 28 and July 14, 2021, respectively, while "Come Through" premiered on the Canada's Drag Race Anniversary Extravaganza reunion special on September 6. [5] A launch party was held at Vancouver's Hollywood Theatre on July 17. [6]
Four of the five songs on the EP had accompanying music videos, all of which combined into a single comedic murder mystery story parodying The Hunger Games , [2] concluding in a video game boss battle between Priyanka and villain Cheryl Hole in the "Snatch" video. [7] The only song without a video made was "Afterglow"; instead, the video for her non-EP Christmas single "Sleigh My Name" featured a short coda linking "Come Through" with "Snatch". Each of the videos has also featured cameo appearances by one or more of Priyanka's castmates in the first season of Canada's Drag Race; [8] several have also included cameos by actor and dancer Donté Colley in a bit part as a television journalist reporting on the events of the videos' storyline. Several of the videos have featured choreography by Hollywood Jade.
The music video for "Come Through" received a nomination at the 2022 UK Music Video Awards for Best Hair & Make-Up in a Video. [9]

I Like to Watch is a 2019 American web series hosted by drag queens Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova. The series was created by Netflix, and streams on the company's YouTube channel. I Like to Watch films its hosts as they view and react to various Netflix Original Programming and licensed films streaming on Netflix. The first season aired from November 21, 2019, to March 21, 2020. A second season, recorded in the duo's homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, premiered on May 23, 2020. The third season, still recorded from home but with the hosts together in person before moving to a new set, premiered on February 20, 2021. The series won a People's Voice Webby Award in 2022. In 2023 the series won a Bronze Anthem Award in the Awareness & Media categories for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
RuPaul's Drag Race is an American reality competition television series, the first in the Drag Race franchise, produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV, WOW Presents Plus, VH1 and, beginning with the fifteenth season, MTV. The show documents RuPaul in the search for "America's next drag superstar". RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor, and head judge for this series, as contestants are given different challenges each week. Contestants are judged by a panel that includes RuPaul, Michelle Visage, an alternating third main judge of either Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, or Ts Madison, and one or more guest judges, who critique their progress throughout the competition. The title of the show is a play on drag queen and drag racing, and the title sequence and song "Drag Race" both have a drag-racing theme.
Airline Inthyrath, known by her stage name Jujubee, is an American drag queen, reality television personality, and recording artist from Lowell, Massachusetts. She first rose to prominence in 2010 as a contestant on the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race, and later returned to compete on the first and fifth seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, and the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs the World (2022), becoming one of the most popular queens from the franchise. She has the unique distinction of being the only contestant to reach the finale of the competition four times. Additionally, she was a main cast member on the makeover television series RuPaul's Drag U (2010–2012), Dragnificent (2019–2020), and RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race (2022). In 2021, she competed in the first season of Paramount+ singing competition Queen of the Universe.

Cheryl's act is based on former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole.
Jared Johnson, best known by the stage name Jaida Essence Hall, is an American drag queen and reality television personality best known for winning the twelfth season of RuPaul's Drag Race, and later returning to compete on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, an all-winners season. Since her season aired in 2020, Hall has been a staple of several domestic and international tours that feature Drag Race contestants, including Werq the World, A Drag Queen Christmas, and Drive 'N Drag. In October 2020, Johnson was a featured performer in Rihanna's Savage X Fenty Fashion Show Vol. 2.

Mark Suknanan is a Canadian singer, television personality and drag queen. Competing under his drag name, Priyanka, Suknanan won the first season of the reality competition series Canada's Drag Race in 2020. He was previously a host of the YTV children's series The Zone and the YTV reality competition series The Next Star, where he went by Mark Suki. His first EP, Taste Test, was released in 2021.
Rita Baga is the stage name of Jean-François Guevremont, a Canadian drag queen from Montreal, Quebec, who is most noted as a top three finalist in the first season of Canada's Drag Race. In 2022, it was announced that Rita Baga would be a judge and the main host on Drag Race Belgique, a Belgian version of the franchise. She also returned to compete in Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs. the World in 2022 and made it to the finale episode of the competition once again, placing in the top four.
Bimini Bon-Boulash is the stage name of Thomas George Graeme Hibbitts, an English drag queen, author, recording artist and model based in East London, and born in Great Yarmouth, England. They are best known for competing on the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, where they placed as a runner-up.
George Ward, better known by the stage name Cherry Valentine, was an English drag queen and mental health nurse who competed in the second series of the television show RuPaul's Drag Race UK. Raised in a Romanichal community, Ward has been credited as the first contestant on the Drag Race franchise to acknowledge his Romani heritage. In 2022, he addressed his background in the BBC documentary film Cherry Valentine: Gypsy Queen and Proud, and in an episode of the documentary series God Shave the Queens. Following Ward's suicide in 2022, a memorial concert and fundraiser was held at London's Clapham Grand.
The first season of Canada's Drag Race premiered on July 2, 2020. The cast was announced on May 14, 2020. The winner of the first season of Canada’s Drag Race was Priyanka, with Rita Baga and Scarlett BoBo as runners-up.
The second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK began airing on 14 January 2021 on the BBC Three section of BBC iPlayer and WOW Presents Plus streaming service. The series was confirmed and casting was closed on 15 November 2019. Production was suspended mid 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed late 2020. The cast of 12 new queens was announced on 16 December 2020 and the series premiered on 14 January 2021. It was also announced a special episode RuPaul's Drag Race UK: Queens on Lockdown would air, following the queens during the first lockdown. This special episode was released on 12 February.
Christopher Adamson, better known by his stage name Vanity Milan, is a British drag queen best known for competing on the third series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. He competed on Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs. the World in 2022.
