The Tata Elegante is a concept car that was displayed by Tata Motors during the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. It is rumoured to contain many design cues which will be found on the next generation Tata Indigo. The Elegante is designed to use a 4-cylinder engine between 1.4 and 2 litres and a compact v6 petrol engine.
Common rail direct injection turbo diesel engines with variable valve timing and capabilities to comply with Euro V emissions norms will also be available. Power varies from 90PS (66kW; 89hp) to 200PS (147kW; 197hp) with torque of up to 280N⋅m (207lb⋅ft). Transmission options include 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
Besides meeting all European safety, crashworthiness and emission standards, the Tata Elegant features include satellite navigation system, cruise control, integrated blue tooth compatibility, heated mirrors, rain sensor, front and rear parking sensors, and many other contemporary features.
The Porsche Cayenne is a mid-size luxury crossover sport utility vehicle produced by the German manufacturer Porsche since 2002, with North American sales beginning in 2003. It is the first V8-engined vehicle built by Porsche since 1995, when the Porsche 928 was discontinued. It is also Porsche's first off-road variant vehicle since its Super and Junior tractors of the 1950s, and the first Porsche with four doors. Since 2008, all engines have featured direct injection technology.
The Tata Indica is a supermini car launched by the Indian manufacturer Tata Motors in 1998. It was the first passenger car from Tata Motors and it is also considered to have been India's first indigenously developed passenger car. As of August 2008, more than 910,000 units had been produced and the platform had spawned close to 1.2 million vehicles. Annual sales of Indica were as high as 144,690 units in 2006–07. As of July 2009, monthly sales of Indica were around 8000 units. The models were also exported to European and African countries from late 2004.. The car was discontinued in April 2018.
The Jaguar AJ-8 is a compact DOHC V8 piston engine used in many Jaguar vehicles. It was the fourth new engine type in the history of the company. In 1997 it replaced both designs previously available on Jaguar cars: the straight-6 Jaguar AJ6 engine, and the Jaguar V12 engine. It remained the only engine type available on Jaguar until 1999 with the launch of the S-Type, when the Jaguar AJ-V6 engine was added to the list. The AJ-V8 is available in displacements ranging from 3.2L to 5.0L, and a supercharged version is also produced. Ford Motor Company also used this engine in other cars, including the Lincoln LS and the 2002-2005 Ford Thunderbird, as well as in several Land Rovers, and the Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
The Tata Indigo is a supermini produced by the Indian manufacturer Tata Motors produced from 2002 through 2016. It is the four-door saloon version of the Tata Indica, a supermini especially designed for developing countries.
The VH series consists of 4.1 and 4.5 litres engines built from 1989 to 2001 by the Nissan Motor Corporation. The design consists of a 90-degree V8 with an aluminium cylinder block that features a closed upper deck and a deep skirt. The cylinder heads are also aluminium with a DOHC 4 valves design and pentroof combustion chambers. The production blocks and production head castings were used successfully in various forms of racing including the IRL.
The QR family of inline-four piston engines by Nissan were introduced in 2000 and range from 2.0 to 2.5 L in displacement. These motors are aluminum, dual overhead camshaft (DOHC), four-valve designs with variable valve timing and optional direct injection. The engine shares much of its architecture with the YD diesel engine.

General Motors' Opel subsidiary in Europe designed a compact V6 engine with an unusual 54° vee angle. It was an iron block/aluminum head DOHC design with 4 valves per cylinder. All 54° engines were assembled at Ellesmere Port in England.
The Ford Sigma is a small straight-4 automobile engine introduced in 1995 by Ford Motor Company. Its first evolution was sold as the Zetec-S, then Zetec-SE and finally, in later years, renamed Duratec. The last upgrade of the engine is named Duratec Ti-VCT. Conceived for Ford's smaller models, the engine was intended to replace the older HCS and smaller capacity CVH units.
Multijet is Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' term for its current common rail direct injection turbodiesel engine range. Most of the Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia range as well as certain Chrysler, RAM Trucks, Jeep and Maserati vehicles are equipped with Multijet engines. Ownership of some Fiat Multijet designs is shared with General Motors as part of a settlement of the failed merger between the two auto conglomerates. GM Powertrain Torino group in Turin, Italy manages their interest in these engines. Some PSA Peugeot Citroën diesel engines are also rebadged JTD units, and vice versa. Fiat's common rail diesel engine is also known as JTD, an initialism of Jet Turbo Diesel.
The Toyota S Series engines are a family of straight-4 engines with displacement from 1.8 L to 2.2 L produced by Toyota Motor Corporation from January 1980 to August 2007. The series has cast iron engine blocks and alloy cylinder heads.
The MR is a family of straight-four all-aluminium automobile engines with variable valve timing co-developed by Renault and Nissan. Renault calls it the M engine. Other noteworthy features of this engine family include acoustically equal runner lengths and a tumble control valve for the intake manifold, a "silent" timing chain, mirror finished crankshaft and camshaft journals, and offset cylinder placement for an attempt in increased efficiency.
Renix was a joint venture by Renault and Bendix that designed and manufactured automobile electronic ignitions, fuel injection systems, electronic automatic transmission controls, and various engine sensors. Major applications included various Renault and Volvo vehicles. The name became synonymous in the U.S. with the computer and fuel injection system used on the AMC/Jeep 2.5 L I4 and 4.0 L I6 engines.

Production of the Insignia began in August 2008, as a replacement for the Vectra and Signum. EcoBoost is a series of turbocharged, direct-injection gasoline engines produced by Ford and originally co-developed by Australian company FPV Engineering and Mazda. The Ecoboost 2L and 2.3L are Ford turbocharged derivatives of the Mazda L engine. EcoBoost engines are designed to deliver power and torque consistent with those of larger-displacement, naturally aspirated engines, while achieving about 30% better fuel efficiency and 15% fewer greenhouse emissions, according to Ford. The manufacturer sees the EcoBoost technology as less costly and more versatile than further developing or expanding the use of hybrid and diesel engine technologies. EcoBoost engines are broadly available across Ford's vehicle lineup.
The Mazda L-series is a mid-sized inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine designed by Mazda as part of their MZR family, ranging in displacement from 1.8L to 2.5L. Introduced in 2001, it is the evolution of the cast-iron block F-engine. The L-series is used by Ford as their 1.8L to 2.5L Duratec world engine.
The Honda P engine is an inline three-cylinder gasoline engine first designed for use in Honda kei cars. The P engine was first used in the fourth generation Honda Life, as a successor to the Honda E07A engine. The P engine series was initially produced in only one displacement variant: 658 cc, either naturally aspirated or turbocharged.
The Tata Aria is a crossover SUV manufactured by Tata Motors of India. Tata Aria was launched on 5 January 2010 at Auto Expo, Delhi, and was launched to customers on 12 October 2010 and prices started at 10.4 lakhs INR Ex showroom or. It is based upon the Tata Xover concept showcased in 2006 Geneva Motor Show. Tata Aria was also a series of concept cars introduced by Tata Motors at Geneva Auto Show 2000.
The Tata Venture is a 3/4-door, 5- to 8-seater cabover full-size minivan (MPV) unveiled on 5 January 2010 at the 10th AutoExpo in Pragati Maidan by Tata Motors in India. It is in competition with the prevalent minivans and vans from Maruti, Mahindra, Toyota, Chevrolet and Force Motors. Venture is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo diesel engine delivering 90 hp (67 kW) power, it is available in 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-seater arrangement. It comes with features such as dual heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), reverse parking sensor, power windows, keyless entry and power steering.
The Tata Pixel is a rear-engined four-passenger city car, unveiled on 1 March 2011 by Tata Motors at the 81st International Motor Show in Geneva and aimed primarily at the European market. It is based on the Tata Nano platform.
