Ted Oakes

Ted Oakes is a Canadian-born filmmaker and biologist who worked at the BBC Natural History Unit for 20 years. [1] [2] [3] [4] He founded Oak Island Films in 2017 and has been managing director since. He has collaborated with BBC, TVO, Smithsonian Channel, Discovery Channel and Merit Motion Pictures. [1]

Oakes completed his MSc. in biology, at Queen's University, Canada in 1989 [1] [3] and a PhD. in zoology at Oxford University, UK in 1996 [1] [3] [4]
