Tennessee Open

The Tennessee Open is the Tennessee state open golf tournament, open to both amateur and professional golfers. It is organized by the Tennessee Golf Association. It has been played annually since 1949 at a variety of courses around the state.

There were earlier "Florida Open"s played in the 1920s and 1930s, not associated with the current version, that are considered official PGA Tour events.

The Tennessee PGA Championship is a golf tournament that is the championship of the Tennessee section of the PGA of America. Gibby Gilbert and Joe Campbell share the record for most wins with five each. Other PGA tour winners who were also victorious in the Tennessee PGA Championship include Mason Rudolph and Bert Weaver.

The 1985 Tournament Players Championship was a golf tournament in Florida on the PGA Tour, held March 28–31 at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, southeast of Jacksonville. It was the twelfth Tournament Players Championship.
