Tennis was contested at the 1962 Asian Games inside the Asian Games Complex in Jakarta, Indonesia. Tennis had doubles and singles events for men and women, as well as a mixed doubles competition. The venues used were the Senayan Tennis Stadium, now known as the Center Court, and the now-demolished open courts located south of the stadium. The courts are now replaced by a baseball stadium.

Japan and the Philippines dominated the events winning all seven gold medals.

The China National Tennis Center (国家网球中心) is a tennis center in the Olympic Green in Chaoyang, Beijing, China. It was opened in October 2007 and has been the home of the China Open since 2009.

The Shanghai Masters is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Shanghai, China. It is played on outdoor hard courts at the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena in the Minhang District, and is held in early October. The tournament is part of the nine ATP Tour Masters 1000 events on the ATP Tour, and is the only one not played in Europe or North America. The tournament was not held from 2020 to 2022 due to Chinese travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bung Karno Sports Complex, better known as Gelora Bung Karno and formerly named the Asian Games Complex (Indonesian: Kompleks Asian Games and the Senayan Sports Complex from 1969 to 2001, is a sports complex located in Gelora, Central Jakarta, bordering the Senayan, South Jakarta because of its large location. Originally built with substantial Soviet assistance, this sports complex was a brain child of Sukarno, the first President of Indonesia, in order to host the 1962 Asian Games. This sports complex consists of a main stadium, secondary stadium, the Sports Palace, football fields, aquatic stadium, tennis stadiums, hockey, baseball and archery fields, and several indoor gymnasiums. Table tennis was contested at the 1962 Asian Games at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 25 August 1962 to 31 August 1962.

Tennis was contested at the 1966 Asian Games in Bangkok, Thailand from December 10 to December 20, 1966. Tennis had doubles and singles events for men and women, as well as a mixed doubles competition.

The 2014 US Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 134th edition of the US Open, the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year. It took place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Edward 'Ed' Rubinoff is an American former tennis player who was active in the 1960s. He won the 1952 singles title at the Orange Bowl junior tennis tournament, and the 1953 mixed doubles title the following year. At the US Open, he was a mixed doubles finalist three times. At the 1969 Maccabiah Games in Israel, he won a gold medal in mixed doubles with Julie Heldman.

Tennis at the 2018 Asian Games was held at the Tennis Court of Jakabaring Sport City, Palembang, Indonesia from 19 to 25 August 2018.
