Draw

The draw for volleyball competition was held on 23 August 1962. [1] Three pools were drawn for the international system (six players) in the men's competition, the other competitions were played in round robin format.

* Republic of China withdrew from both international and far eastern competitions because Indonesian government refused to issue visas for the Taiwanese delegation.

Badminton had its debut as an official medal sport at the 1992 Summer Olympics. It was held from 28 July to 4 August 1992. Four events were held in the first competition of the sport: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, and women's doubles. The 2006 Men's Asian Games Volleyball Tournament was the 13th edition of the event, organized by the Asian governing body, the AVC in conjunction with the OCA. It was held in Doha, Qatar from November 26 to December 14, 2006.

FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour

The FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour is the worldwide professional beach volleyball tour for both men and women organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The World Tour was introduced 1989 for men and in 1992 for womens being held yearly since then.

2014 FIVB Volleyball Mens World Championship

The 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Poland from 30 August to 21 September 2014. The tournament featured 24 teams to determine the world champions in men's volleyball. In addition to the host nation Poland, 23 teams qualified for the tournament by means of continental and regional competitions. The matches took place in seven venues across seven Polish cities, with the final being held at Spodek, Katowice.

The 2017 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the 19th edition of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, the biennial international men's volleyball championship of Asia organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC). It was held in Gresik, Indonesia from 24 July to 1 August 2017. It was the second time that the Indonesia hosts the tournament after the 2007 Asian Championship.
