Draw

The draw for volleyball competition was held on 23 August 1962. [1] Three pools were drawn for the international system (six players) in the men's competition, the other competitions were played in round robin format.

* Republic of China withdrew from both international and far eastern competitions because Indonesian government refused to issue visas for the Taiwanese delegation.

The 2006 Men's Asian Games Volleyball Tournament was the 13th edition of the event, organized by the Asian governing body, the AVC in conjunction with the OCA. It was held in Doha, Qatar from November 26 to December 14, 2006.
