Manahan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. Manahan is the first stadium in Indonesia which hosts the biggest disabled sporting event in Southeast Asia, the 2011 ASEAN Para Games. The stadium was opened on 21 February 1998. It is currently used mostly for association football matches and is used as the home venue for Persis Solo. This stadium now holds 20,000 spectators after the renovation. Christopher Benjamin Rungkat is an Indonesian tennis player. He is the grandson of Benny Rungkat, former chairman of the Indonesian Air Carriers Association. Christopher's father, Michael Alexander Fritz Rungkat, is of Dutch and Indonesian descent and his mother, Elfia Mirlianti, is full Indonesian descent. In 2008, he won the final stage of French Open 2008 Boys' Doubles Juniors category with Finnish tennis player Henri Kontinen. He is the youngest ever Indonesian to be the All Indonesian Champion, and by the end of his junior career, he was awarded for Indonesian best promising athlete 2008.

Table tennis at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London took place from Thursday 30 August to Saturday 8 September 2012 at ExCeL Exhibition Centre. 276 athletes, 174 men and 102 women, competed in 29 events. Table tennis events have been held at the Paralympics since the first Games in Rome in 1960.

Soft tennis at the 2018 Asian Games was held at the JSC Tennis Court, Palembang, Indonesia. It was held from 28 August to 1 September 2018.

The 2019 Asian Table Tennis Championships were held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from 15 to 22 September 2019. Around 128 males and 100 females table tennis players competed in the singles, doubles and team events.

Alexander Elbert Sie, known as Elbert Sie, is an Indonesian former professional tennis player. After retiring he became a national representative in the sport of soft tennis.
