Tetratheca pilifera is a species of flowering plant in the quandong family that is endemic to Australia.
The species grows as a spreading shrub to 10–30 cm in height. The purple flowers appear from August to October. [1]
The range of the species lies within the Jarrah Forest and Swan Coastal Plain IBRA bioregions of south-west Western Australia, on gravelly soils on the northern and north-eastern outskirts of the city of Perth. [1]
Tetratheca is a genus of around 50 to 60 species of shrubs endemic to Australia. It is classified in the botanical family Elaeocarpaceae, now known to encompass the family Tremandraceae, which the genus originally belonged to. It occurs throughout extratropical Australia, and has been recorded in every mainland state except the Northern Territory.
