Teunis Buijs (born 24 February 1960) is a Dutch ex-volleyball player and coach. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1988 Summer Olympics. [1] He is the father of the dutch volleyball player, Anne Buijs, who has been in the Netherlands Women's National Team since 2008. In 2022, he became the head coach of Prima Donna Kaas Huizen, located in Huizen, Netherlands.
Huizen is a municipality and a village in the province of North Holland, the Netherlands.
The Netherlands competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004. Dutch athletes have competed in every Summer Olympic Games since its official debut in 1908. Netherlands, however, boycotted the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, because of the Soviet invasion of Hungary. The Netherlands National Olympic Committee sent a total of 210 athletes to the Games, 134 men and 76 women, to compete in 21 sports. Baseball, field hockey, and men's volleyball were the only team-based sports in which the Netherlands had its representation at these Games. There was only a single competitor in women's fencing.
Teun Floris de Nooijer is a field hockey player from the Netherlands, who twice became Olympic champion with the Dutch national squad, in 1996 and in 2000, and was on the team in 2012. He currently plays for Dutch side HC Bloemendaal and in Hockey India League for Uttar Pradesh Wizards.

Teunis ("Teun") Mulder is a Dutch track cyclist. He is a former keirin World Champion and won a silver in the team sprint with Theo Bos and Tim Veldt. Mulder also won four world cup classics in the team sprint and keirin. He competed for his native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, finishing 10th at the individual sprint, 6th at the team sprint and 11th at the 1 km time trial, while he was eliminated in the first repechage round of the keirin competition. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he won the bronze medal in the men's keirin.
Sebastiaan Jacques Henri "Bas" van de Goor is a retired volleyball player from the Netherlands who represented his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1996. He was elected twice as the most valuable player of the Olympics.
Peter Blangé is a retired volleyball player from the Netherlands who represented his native country in four consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. Four years later, he helped the Dutch national team win the silver medal in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. Blangé then won the gold medal with the national team in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta by defeating Italy in the final. His final Olympic appearance as an athlete was in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He was a setter.
Ronald ("Ron") Ferdinand Zwerver is a retired volleyball player from the Netherlands who represented his native country in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. He was one of the dominant forces in Dutch volleyball in the 1990s. He was selected as the Best Attacker at both the 1990 and 1994 FIVB World Championships.
Giovane Farinazzo Gavio, known as Giovane, is a retired Brazilian volleyball coach and former player who was a member of the Brazil men's national volleyball team that won the gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain by defeating the Netherlands (3-0) in the final.

In 2 March 2023, Buijs married Ana Carolina Da Silva, her long-time partner who plays as a middle blocker of Brazil Women's Volleyball National Team.
