State Highway 285 (SH 285) is a state highway that runs from Riviera in southern Texas, near Corpus Christi, west to Hebbronville.
Beginning at a junction with US 77 (Future I-69E) at Riviera in Kleberg County, SH 285 runs southwest and west to a junction with US 281 (Future I-69C) at Falfurrias in Brooks County. In Riviera the highway is known as Olive Avenue; in Falfurrias it is known as Rice Street. SH 285 continues northwest and west to a junction with SH 339 and then to its final junction with SH 16 at Hebbronville in Jim Hogg County, where the route is known as Fal Street. SH 285 was designated on March 31, 1939, from Falfurrias to Hebbronville. [2] On September 26, 1939 as part of a general redescription of the state highway system, SH 285 was extended east to its current end, replacing a part of SH 16. Most of the terrain covered by SH 285 is lightly populated ranch and oil country.

State Highway 6 (SH 6) runs from the Red River, the Texas–Oklahoma state line, to northwest of Galveston, where it is known as the Old Galveston Highway. In Sugar Land and Missouri City, it is known as Alvin-Sugarland Road and runs perpendicular to Interstate 69/U.S. Highway 59 (I-69/US 59). In the Houston area, it runs north to Farm to Market Road 1960 (FM 1960), then northwest along US 290 to Hempstead, and south to Westheimer Road and Addicks, and is known as Addicks Satsuma Road. In the Bryan–College Station area, it is known as the Earl Rudder Freeway. In Hearne, it is known as Market Street. In Calvert, it is known as Main Street. For most of its length, SH 6 is not a limited-access road. In 1997, the Texas Legislature designated SH 6 as the Texas Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway.
State Highway 12 (SH 12) is a west–east state highway in the U.S. state of Texas that runs from Interstate 10 (I-10) in Vidor to the Louisiana state line at Deweyville. The route intersects Loop 338 and Spur 450 in West Odessa and then follows Loop 338 along the west side of Odessa until SH 302 terminates at I-20. SH 302 also intersects several Farm to Market Roads and an Interstate business route.
