The 1904 Summer Olympics were an international multi-sport event held in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, from 1 July to 23 November 1904. Many events were conducted at what is now known as Francis Field on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. This was the first time that the Olympic Games were held outside Europe.

In the 2004 Athens Olympics, Dabir lost all of his matches by points. He was a member of City Council of Tehran.

In addition, he was World Champion in 1905 and won multiple European championship silver medals.

Lila Ram Sangwan was an Indian wrestler from Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana, who was the first Indian to win a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games. He won a gold medal in the heavyweight (100 kg) category in the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. Lila Ram competed in the freestyle wrestling in heavyweight and superheavyweight categories at the national as well as international level.

A Summer Olympic medalist and World champion in 2021, Gilman was most notably also a three-time World Championship medalist. Out of the University of Iowa, he was a three-time NCAA Division I All-American.
Giorgi Edisherashvili is a wrestler from Georgia who has wrestled for both: Georgia and Azerbaijan. Edisherashvili is a three-time European Wrestling Championships champion. In 2016, Edisherashvili was granted a sport citizenship of Azerbaijan, thus allowing him to compete and wrestle under Azerbaijan. He made his debut at the 2016 Yasar Dogu memorial tournament held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Kenneth Bruce Reinsfield is a New Zealand wrestler. He competed in the men's freestyle 82 kg at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
