Tha Blue Herb is a Japanese alternative hip hop trio based in Sapporo, Hokkaido. [1] They formed in 1997 and now consist of three members: Boss the MC a.k.a. Ill-Bosstino (MC), O.N.O. (producer, formerly live DJ until DJ Dye joined Tha Blue Herb in 1999) and DJ Dye (live DJ). They also run a record label called Tha Blue Herb Recordings.

James Hadfield of The Japan Times described Tha Blue Herb as "the Company Flow of Japanese hip-hop." [2]

Beside releasing several albums and singles as the group, O.N.O. also released solo works, while Ill-Bosstino participated in Herbest Moon (with producer Wachall) and Japanese Synchro System (with producer Calm) and also worked with DJ Krush and Audio Active amongst others.

Hideyuki Yokoi, known professionally as Zeebra, is a Japanese hip hop recording artist and DJ who made his first appearance in 1995. Zeebra is a former member of the hip-hop group King Giddra, which also included DJ Oasis and K Dub Shine, and the older brother of fellow hip hop recording artist SPHERE of INFLUENCE. He went on to pursue a solo career shortly after in 1997, and signed with the Future Shock record label.

Aaron Tyler, better known by his stage name MC Eiht, is an American rapper and actor. Many of his songs are based on his life in Compton. His stage name was partly inspired by the numeral in KRS-One's name. He chose Eiht for its links to "hood culture", including Olde English 800 and .38 caliber firearms. He is the de facto leader of West Coast hip hop group Compton's Most Wanted, which also included fellow Compton-based rappers Boom Bam, The Unknown DJ, Tha Chill, DJ Mike T, DJ Slip and Ant Capone. He is also known for his role as A-Wax in the 1993 film Menace II Society, as well as playing the character Ryder in the 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

DJ Quik American record producer and rapper from California

David Marvin Blake, better known by his stage name DJ Quik, is an American rapper, songwriter, DJ and record producer, known for his production in the G-funk style of West Coast hip-hop. Blake has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Tupac, Erick Sermon, and Shaquille O'Neal, among others. Blake's stage name reflects his ability to produce songs in a short period of time. Ricardo Emmanuel Brown, better known by his stage name Kurupt, is an American rapper and record producer who aided gangsta rap's rise via 1990s verses helping set lasting trends. He is one half of the rap duo tha Dogg Pound, along with Daz. His first solo album arrived in 1998. After feuding, the duo reunited in 2005. Kurupt has been in rap supergroups such as the DPGC.

3 Strikes is the soundtrack to DJ Pooh's 2000 comedy film 3 Strikes. It was released on February 22, 2000 via Priority Records and consists of hip hop music. Recording sessions took place at Mirror Image Studios and at Daddy's House Recording Studio in New York, at Digital Shack and at Record Plant in Los Angeles, and at Poli's Crib. Production was handled by DJ Battlecat, Funk Daddy, Jaz-O, J Dub, Kardinal Offishall, Ke'Noe, Poli Paul, Rico Lumpkins, Saint Denson, Dr. Nabu and DJ Pooh, who also served as executive producer with Andrew Shack and Marcus Morton. Daniel Faraldo, known professionally as Dan-e-o, is a Canadian hip hop artist and actor of Jamaican and Spanish descent. In June 2015, Dan-e-o received the award for Best Hip Hop Artist at the Black Canadian Awards. He is a member of the groups Monolith and Perfeck Strangers, both based in Scarborough, Ontario.
