Thalai Nagaram is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language gangster action film written and directed by Suraj and produced by V. Ravichandran. The film stars Sundar C in his lead acting debut and Jyothirmayi, while Vadivelu, Prakash Raj, Judo. K. K. Rathnam, K. S. Ravikumar, and Bose Venkat play supporting roles. This film was a low-budget production but enjoyed huge success. The soundtrack, composed by D. Imman, was a great hit, and the song "Yedho Ninaikiren" charted at the top position for a week. This was the last awaited Tamil film to date of late actress Srividya, just a year before her untimely demise.

Sangathamizhan is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Vijay Chandar. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi in the title role with Nivetha Pethuraj and Raashii Khanna, Soori, Nassar, Ravi Kishan, and Ashutosh Rana playing pivotal roles. The music is composed by Vivek-Mervin, and cinematography was handled by R. Velraj. Principal photography reportedly commenced during February 2019 in Hyderabad. The film was released on 15 November 2019. It received highly negative reviews and was a flop at the box-office.
