S. Krishnamoorthy (born 19 October 1953) professionally known as Madhan Bob, is an Indian actor and comedian, appearing in many Tamil films in supporting roles. [1] Madhan Babu is known for his amusing facial expressions, laughter and protruding eyeballs. He appeared in the popular Sun TV comedy show Asatha Povathu Yaaru? as one of the judges. Madhan Bob ventured into the film industry by donning the role of a musician. [2]

Nagesh (born Cheyur Krishnarao Nageshwaran; was an Indian actor and comedian mostly remembered for his comic roles in Tamil films during the 1960s. Nagesh was born in Dharapuram. He acted in over 1,000 films from 1958 to 2008, performing in a variety of roles as comedian, lead roles, supporting actor and antagonist. He has also acted in Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Kannada films. Nagesh's style of comedy was largely inspired by Hollywood actor Jerry Lewis. Similarities between Nagesh and Lewis earned Nagesh the sobriquet the "Jerry Lewis of India". He was also nicknamed as the King of Comedy due to his impeccable comedy timing and body language. He featured regularly in the film projects of M. G. Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan even at a time when there was a massive rift between the two leading actors in Tamil cinema at that time.

Ramesh Khanna is an Indian actor and film director who has worked in Tamil cinema. He has acted in a number of supporting and comedian roles.

Dhamu is a retired Indian actor, comedian and mimicry artist who mainly acted in Tamil films. He is known for his role as Otteri Nari in Ghilli (2004). He was a part of Gaana Galata Group, a popular touring and acting comedy troupe. Since then, he has appeared in several films. He has quit mainstream acting and has opened an agency to represent comedy shows known as 'Tamarai Bharani Comedy Agency'. He once hosted a program "Kalakkal Comedy" on Sun TV. He worked as assistant to the former Indian President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam for seven years. He was also a children's education advocate.

Vikram Dharma was an Indian action choreographer in the Tamil film industry in Indian cinema. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Action for Yuva. He was the son of fight master R. N. Nambiar who was known for his works in MGR's movies. He worked with actor Kamal Haasan in many films. His working name of "Vikram" was assigned to him once he became acted in Kamal Haasan's movie of the same name in 1986. Stunt masters and Actors like Ponnambalam, Stun Siva, Thalapathy Dinesh, K. Ganesh Kumar, Ram Laxman, Anbariv, Mahanadi Shankar, Besant Ravi, Rajendran, T. Ramesh, Indian Baskar, Rajasekhar, Sai Dheena, Azhagu & Vengal Rao have worked as fighters and assistants to him. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali was an Indian poet who has the record for writing the most songs in Tamil cinema. He is also recognised for a five-decade long association in the Tamil film industry and has written over 15,000 songs. He acted in a number of films, including Sathya, Hey Ram, Paarthale Paravasam and Poikkal Kudhirai. He was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour in 2007.

<i>Lollu Sabha</i> Indian television series

Lollu Sabha is a 2003–2008 Indian Tamil-language comedy series written by Rambhala and starring Santhanam, Swaminathan, Lollu Sabha Manohar, Balaji, Jangiri Madhumitha. It was broadcast on STAR Vijay with 156 episodes. Each episode of the series was a spoof of a Tamil feature film and television show. Comedy actor Santhanam, Swaminathan, Manohar, Yogi Babu and Madhumitha are the leads of the show.

Vennira Aadai Moorthy is an Indian actor and comedian in Tamil cinema. He has starred in many Tamil films and television serials as a comedian and also played supporting roles. He is a lawyer by education, and holds a B.L. degree in addition to a PhD in astrology. Thalapathy Dinesh is an Indian action choreographer who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He started his career in the cinema as an extra fighter in Naan Sigappu Manithan and later he became as a stunt master and actor. Stunt masters like Stun Siva, Peter Hein, Anal Arasu, Rajasekhar, Hari Dinesh, Pradeep Dinesh, Supreme Sundar, Vicky and Theeppori Nithya have worked as fighters and assistants to him. Singamuthu is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films as a comedian.

Vairamuthu is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film Nizhalgal, an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. During the course of his 40-year film career, he has written over 7,500 songs and poems which have won him seven National Awards, the most for any Indian lyricist. He has also been honored with a Padma Shri, a Padma Bhushan and a Sahitya Akademi Award, for his abundant literary output.

C. K. Saraswathi was an Indian actress who featured mainly in Tamil films. She was active in the field from 1945 till 1998. During the early days she featured in character roles and in comedy tracks. Later she became famous for her acting in negative character roles. Due to her physical appearance, she was mostly given the role of a mother in rich families. The more noteworthy character she did was in Thillana Mohanambal as Vadivambal (Vadivu), mother of Mohanambal.
