The Thang Long Warriors is a Vietnamese professional basketball team founded in 2017 and based in Hanoi, Vietnam. They play in the Vietnam Basketball Association. [1]

Contents

The Warriors won their first championship at the VBA 2017 and have never missed VBA Playoffs until 2022 when they finished 5-7 and missed the playoffs for first time ever.

Apart from playing pro, the Warriors also takes part in developing Vietnam basketball with their Thang Long Warriors Basketball Academy and their U19, U17 team.

The 2017 VBA season was the second season of the Vietnam Basketball Association. The regular season began on September 5, 2017 and end on November 5, 2017. The playoffs began on November 8, 2017 and ended on December 3, 2017, with the Thang Long Warriors beating the Cantho Catfish in 5 games to clinch their first VBA title.

The 2018 VBA season was the third season of the Vietnam Basketball Association. The regular season began on June 16, 2018, and ended on August 16, 2018. The playoffs began on August 21, 2018, and ended on August 26, 2018. The finals began on September 4, 2018, and ended on September 9, 2018, with Cantho Catfish beating Hanoi Buffaloes in 3 games.

The 2020 VBA season was the fifth season of the Vietnam Basketball Association. The season was scheduled to start in May but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The regular season began on 15 October 2020 and ended on 20 November. The playoffs semi-finals began on 24 November 2020 and ended on 28 November 2020. The Finals began on 2 December 2020 and ended on 8 December 2020 with the Saigon Heat defeating the Thang Long Warriors after 4 games.
