Kwek Wei Meng, Leon (郭伟民) is a Singaporean basketball player who plays for the Singapore Slingers in the Asean Basketball League (ABL). When he first joined the Singapore Slingers in 2015, he was only aged 19. In the 2016/2017 ABL season, he had a breakout year while leading the Singapore Slingers in scoring among locals. Leon was selected to join the Singapore National Basketball Youth team at the age of 14, and is an active member of the Singapore National Basketball Men's team. Kwek is currently the captain of the Singapore Basketball Men's team.

Lê Ngọc Tú is a Vietnamese professional basketball player who currently plays for the Hochiminh City Wings of the Vietnam Basketball Association (VBA).

The 2018 VBA season was the third season of the Vietnam Basketball Association. The regular season began on June 16, 2018, and ended on August 16, 2018. The playoffs began on August 21, 2018, and ended on August 26, 2018. The finals began on September 4, 2018, and ended on September 9, 2018, with Cantho Catfish beating Hanoi Buffaloes in 3 games.

The 2019 VBA season was the fourth season of the Vietnam Basketball Association. The regular season began on 1 June 2019 and ended on 18 August 2019. The playoffs began on 24 August 2019 and ended on 31 August 2019. The finals began on 7 September 2019 and ended on 17 September 2019 with the Saigon Heat beating the Cantho Catfish in 5 games.

3x3 basketball was featured in the Asian Indoor Games and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games official programme in 2009, and since 2017. The inaugural staging of 3x3 basketball was seen in 2007, as a demonstration sport. The programme includes 2 events. The FIBA and FIBA Asia are the world and continental respectively governing body.

Indonesia participated at the 2021 SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam from 12 to 23 May 2022. The Indonesian contingent consisted of 499 athletes, competing in 32 out 40 sports.
